Adam started work at The Shoe Shack in 2019 and made his transition to The Bike Shack in 2021. He has a good head on his shoulders and effectively matches customers' needs to products and services we offer. Brandon grew up riding. Until he could drive (and ever since), he was never far from his BMX bike. Brandon enjoys BMX and mountain biking in our area and around the country. He has a good attitude and is knowledgeable about the products and services we offer.
Mike has been a regular face around the store for the better part of 3 decades! Primarily a service tech, there is a good chance Mike will be the mechanic repairing your bicycle or assembling your next fitness piece. He knows some "tricks of the trade" that only come with experience and has customers that request him personally for their tune-up needs.
Pam started working at The Bike Shack when the store opened in 1979. She has worked from the ground up and has experience in both day-to-day operations and behind the scene logistics. Although Pam now does most of her work in the office, her decades of sales experience and knowledge of the industry make her a valuable resource for the customers and staff alike.

The Bike Shack has been your family shop for over 40 years. Founded in 1979 by Rick Schmitt, our business has been operated by the same family since then. These family members are Rick's daughter Pam, nephew Dan, and grandson Josh. Originally located at Burlington and Primrose in Dubuque, Iowa, The Bike Shack has changed locations a few times over the years as our store has grown. The second location was on Delhi Street across from the current Unity Point Hospital. The store moved for a few years to a retail spot in Plaza 20 shopping area. Each time a moved occurred, the store got bigger to reflect a growing business. In 1998, we moved to our current location at 3250 Dodge Street.
