John has over 25 years of experience in fabrication within the off-road, drag racing, and aerospace industries. He got his start building custom street rods as a teenager and developed a love for building things. His extensive experience as a chassis builder includes stops at Desert Dynamics and Damen Jeffries Racing for off-road, and at Victory Race Cars where he developed chassis for short coarse trophy carts, and for nitro fueled funny cars used by John Force Racing and Jim Dunn Racing. John also worked at Scaled Composites where he worked on metal and carbon fiber related projects used on Virgin Galactic's Spaceship 2 and the Stratolaunch ROC airplane. John has a passion for passing on his experience to students and accelerating their learning curve as they train for their new career.

Nate Haugh

With nearly 15 years of fabricating experience, Nate started his career at Road Race Engineering and Road Race Motorsports where he worked as a mechanic and a fabricator producing prototypes and fixtures. He then spent time with Kellogg Motorsports as a mechanic and fabricator, as well as co-driver for their Class 5 buggy. Nate then went on to become lead fabricator and assistant engineer for Dr. Smoothie working on food grade stainless steel and machine automation and customization. Now owner of Bink Industries, when not instructing, his focus is on the Formula Drift scene where he specializes in chassis and suspension design for top teams like Odi Bakchis, Mike Essa, and Stephen Papadakis. Nate is a trailblazer for the sport, developing many aspects of the modern drift car that have become industry standard internationally.

NICK BERLANGA

With nearly 20 years of experience, Nick brings a background in building sheet metal car bodies and trophy trucks for top race teams. His work history includes time at Johnson Fab and GET Performance, while also designing and fabricating aluminum bodies with Jeff Davis, and serving as crew chief for the Canidae Racing trophy truck. Nick is a great problem solver, and challenges students to overcome obstacles and complete their work the right way, especially when the work gets difficult.

TROY JOHNSON - Founder

The Fab School TM is a private, post-secondary, vocational school that specializes in providing hands-on training for those exploring a career in metal fabrication, welding, digital manufacturing and composites. The school was founded in 2005 by Troy Johnson, a veteran in the fabrication and off-road industries with more than 25-years of experience. He had a vision to start the school as a way to train the next generation of fabricators to work on his and his friend's race teams, and it's just taken off from there. Troy has hand-picked some of the top industry professionals to join The Fab School TM as instructors, each possessing over 10 years of experience in the fabrication industry. Troy and the instructors take pride in passing their skills, expertise, and industry knowledge to the students while preparing them for an exciting hands-on career. The Fab School TM is located in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
