UTCM was designated as one of approximately 60 University Transportation Centers (UTCs) in the nation. The University Transportation Centers Program (UTCP) is funded by USDOT and administered by RITA (Research and Innovative Technology Administration). UTCM is located in College Station, Texas within the Texas Transportation Institute, a part of the Texas A&M University System... Transportation and mobility issues impact nearly every aspect of society. Thus, mobility is at the very center of the American way of life. The University Transportation Center for Mobility's job is to fund efforts to enhance mobility and disseminate the results. All projects funded by the UTCM include component programs in Research, Education and Technology Transfer.
