Suzy started her career in banking after college. As a banker, she learned the financial system and worked with individuals, small business owners, trusts, and endowments. Several years into her banking career, Suzy became an investment consultant with the bank and worked at the institutional dealer desk and the fixed income desk, where she gained extensive knowledge across all dimensions of the bond market. As an Investment Consultant, she applied this knowledge to her individual and institutional clients. In 1994, she started as a Financial Consultant with a Regional Investment Firm and became a Vice President in 1997. In 2007, she joined a National Investment Firm as a Vice President, where she continued working with individuals, small business owners, and institutions on investment planning, financial planning, tax, and estate planning. In 2012, she joined Total Wealth Advisors as a Managing Director to pursue her lifelong goal of working as an independent Registered Investment Advisor and providing a fiduciary standard of care to all her clients. Suzy has extensive experience in the special needs community doing planning for individuals and families. Her volunteer work with Courage Kenny Sports, Fraser, St Davids, Miracle League, NAMI Minnesota, and her involvement with PACER have provided invaluable knowledge. Having a special needs child of her own gives her a passion for the future of all people with disabilities.
