Arne Skeie

Arne Skeie has worked 18 years in Subsea 7. Arne has been in the pipeline discipline and in the structural discipline, and has also been working 8 years as Engineering Manager on projects such as Martin Linge, and Ærfugl. Arne is now working as Business Development Manager.Arne graduated from Høgskolen i Stavanger with Master degree in material technology in 1999. He worked as production manager in a factory producing concrete pipes before joining Subsea 7 in 2002.

Beathe Mo Amlie

Job Titles:

Beathe Mo Amlie joined DNV after completing her master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997. She started her career working with offshore pressurized components, following some years managing laboratory test projects at the DNV laboratory, then continuing working as a project manager for a variety of subsea related advisory and third party projects. Since 2021 she has been heading the Subsea, Drilling and Well section at DNV in Norway.

Beatrice Thomasi

Beatrice has over 10 years of experience in the field of wireless communications with a focus on underwater sensor networks. She received her Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology from University of Padova (Italy) in 2012, and she was an Office of Naval Research postdoc at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for two years. She worked on communication protocols for 5G cellular networks at the Huawei Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab in Paris (France) as a senior research engineer from 2014 to 2018. Since 2018, she works at NORCE on underwater communications and positioning systems, with a specific focus on underwater acoustics and multi-modal communication systems. My research tackles the problems related to underwater communications, positioning, and autonomous navigation by using theoretical and numerical modelling, and experimental validation.

Bjørn Kahrs

With his 35 years' experience, Bjørn Kahrs has an extensive knowhow and experience in subsea intervention work. His experience includes Senior Project Management for larger Subsea Construction projects, EPCI and SURF. He holds both an MBA and a Master degree in Subsea Engineering. He also has experience from working offshore on offshore construction vessels as; Diver, Field Engineer, Offshore Manager and Client Representative. His experience comes from; 3 years with Statoil, 20 years with Subsea 7, 3 years as CEO for Randaberg Industries, 4 years as Mayor of Randaberg Municipality, 4 years with DeepOcean, and is currently Regional Director with Norwegian Energy Partners (Norwep) responsible for Africa as well as task responsible for Subsea Tie-back and P&A including Decommissioning.

Bård Owe Bakken

Bård Owe graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 1998 and holds a master's degree in Materials Engineering. He started his professional career in Hydro Aluminum before joining the subsea industry in 2002 as a materials engineer for Stolt Offshore, which later became Acergy and Subsea7. Since then, Bård Owe has worked on numerous subsea development projects in various roles such as Company Representative, Subsea Manager and Facilities Manager for both Equinor and Harbour Energy (previously Wintershall and Wintershall Dea). His current role is Brownfield Project Manager for Harbour Energy's operated assets on Haltenbanken.

Christina Koukoura

Christina has been with Ørsted in the Offshore Wind unit for more than 9 years. She is currently a Technical Project Manager for the early phase assessment of offshore wind projects and screening of new markets. She has held various positions within Ørsted including Foundations Package Manager for the development Asset Projects and Concept and Layout engineer. She has experience with the auctions and bidding process in various markets as well as technical and commercial assessment of offshore wind projects. She holds a masters in mechanical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

Elin Crombie

Elin currently holds the position as Chief Performance Officer in Odfjell Oceanwind AS. She has previously been responsible for the company's floating offshore wind turbine technology development and is currently focusing optimization of the business areas and integrated delivery models. Elin was former Senior Principle Naval Architect with Odfjell Drilling and has 20+ years of experience spanning conceptual development, projects, engineering, new builds and operations of MODUs in harsh environments. Broad expertise from mooring and marine operations, construction, asset management, compliance and regulatory frameworks. Elin holds a BEng(hons) Naval Architecture & Offshore Engineering (siv.ing.) from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow).

Gareth Davies

Gareth Davies is the Executive Director for Subsea Product Portfolio, Subsea Production Systems business of Oilfield Services and Equipment Product Company of Baker Hughes. Serving Baker Hughes for 10 years, he previously served as Head of Projects and Systems Engineering within the Subsea Production Systems business having previously been the engineering manager for significant greenfield and brownfield development projects within the business. Prior to joining Baker Hughes Gareth was based in the defence industry where he undertook a series of roles within the communication and data systems area. Gareth has core competence and experience in engineering, business management, sales and business development.

Jon Arve Sværen

Jon Arve Graduated from Bergen Tech Collage in 1979 - BSc Engineering. Started his career in Frank Mohn AS, the world Leading supplier of cargo pumps for product and chemical tankers same year. He had many different positions in application engineering, sales and business development including responsibility for the capture of the production system for Oseberg subsea satellite project as early as 1986. Sales manager for Oil and Gas division from 1990 -94. Jon Arve started in Framo Engineering in 1994 in sales and business development with global responsibility for the complete range of products ranging through subsea multiphase meters-, multiphase pumps , wet gas compressors and swivel systems for FPSO's . He took and active part in the formation of OneSubsea in 2013 with an executive position at the Houston Head office for the first years of operations. Current position is advisor and Board member in OneSubsea, Norway.

Jon O. Hellevang

Jon has 20 years of experience from R&D in the intersection between industry and applied research. He has a master's degree in physical electronics from NTNU. He has previously worked with subsea controls at TechnipFMC (formerly FMC Technologies) and applied research within measurement science at CMR/NORCE. Jon has been involved in different roles and engagements in GCE Ocean Technology since 2007 and full time as R&D Manager since 2022. Jon main responsibility is establishing new joint R&D projects within the cluster.

Kristin Høines Helgesen

17 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, mainly in subsea. I hold a master in Offshore Technology from University of Stavanger. Started my career in Baker Hughes Dusavik working with SPS modifications. Later moved to Ocean Installer, working both onshore and offshore as a Project Engineer installing SPS and SURF equipment. Joined Aker BP in 2018 and currently work as work as Project Manager in Concept Development, which mature projects from project entry (DG0) to Concept Select.

Lorents Reinås

Rune Vesterkjær

Rune Vesterkjær joined Subsea after completing his master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2002. He has a broad competence within subsea technology. Rune has held numerous technical and management roles for more than 20 years in Aker Solutions before joining OneSubsea. In OneSubsea he holds global leadership responsibility for the processing products & technologies - expanding the frontiers of subsea for a sustainable energy future.

Sigbjørn Birkeland

Sigbjørn Birkeland joined the subsea industry after completing his master's degree in 1997. He started his career working in ABB Offshore Systems with subsea control systems. In 2006 he joined AS Norske Shell and had different roles within the subsea segment. He joined Vår Energi in 2021 as Subsea Engineering Lead within Field Development and hold now the position as Chief Subsea Facility.

Solveig Tornås

Solveig Tornås holds a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She started her career in Volvo Aero Norge, as a quality assurance engineer for jet engine manufacturing. After this she has 17 years' experience in different engineering roles at TechnipFMC in several locations; Kongsberg, Singapore, Lysaker and Bergen. Current role is overseeing the engineers working for our service organization in Norway.
