We are the national tourism agency, a non-departmental public body funded by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). We were established by the Development of Tourism Act 1969 and we undertake Britain-wide and England-specific activity respectively under the brands "VisitBritain" and "VisitEngland". This is in accordance with the 2015 Spending Review which brought VisitBritain and VisitEngland structurally closer together, with accountability for delivery of England and Britain into the remit of a single body under the BTA... VisitBritain's extensive network connects us with a global audience across four regions - Europe, the Americas, APMEA, China and North-East Asia.
