As our Chief Executive Officer, Amy-Ruth brings extensive knowledge and experience to the role, having joined the MacDonald Group of companies in 2005. Prior to entering the role in 2017, Amy-Ruth had previously held key roles of Project Director and Strategic Relationships Manager on mega-projects such as WestConnex in NSW, as well as various other large projects across both Australia and the UK.
In addition to her work as a consultant for our Cost Engineering Division at MIEngineers, Amy-Ruth has also taken on the roles of Business Development Manager with sister company Benchmark Estimating Software (Australia) and was tasked with opening Benchmark Estimating in the UK, giving her a thorough, well-rounded understanding of the interconnected nature of our work and the opportunities for greater partnership within the group of companies.
Amy-Ruth's work within the various stages of infrastructure projects has provided her with knowledge of the challenges faced by stakeholders, from decision makers to project delivery teams, driving her passion for providing high-quality consultancy services to government organisations and the private sector alike.
She prides herself on her ability to foster collaborative relationships and achieves fulfilment when our clients acknowledge their satisfaction with the work conducted for them by MIEngineers. Amy-Ruth is open and friendly, and loves speaking with our clients about how we can best serve them with our skilled teams and multi-disciplinary offerings.
Amy-Ruth's passions lie in encouraging women in the construction industry, developing innovations in the fields of cost intelligence and construction services and supporting various community organisations locally and internationally. As an example, MIEngineers partnered with the Centre for Disability Studies to establish an internship program to provide students with an intellectual disability an opportunity to help develop their skills in the workplace.

Andrew has over 16 years' experience in the construction and engineering industries, working primarily on delivery teams for large and complex infrastructure projects, holding positions such as Senior Engineer, Contracts Manager and Construction Manager.
Andrew is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia in the area of Project Management.
With his knowledge of technical and process, client focus and strong leadership capacity, Andrew prides himself on delivering for the client, adding value to every project and building relationships.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Environmental) and a Master of Business Administration (specialising in Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution).

Chris commenced working with MIE in January this year and is the newest member of our Executive Leadership Team, operating in a local and international capacity to support our group of company's growth strategy both here in Australia, the UK and beyond.
Chris brings extensive financial leadership experience in delivering strategic and commercial business solutions to maximise business performance, gained from his expertise in growing, and selling, tech-focused PE and ASX backed businesses spanning his 15+ years of finance experience.
Chris is responsible for supporting the Board of Directors, CEOs and Division Managers to proactively steer the financial direction of our group of companies to enhance our national and international growth plans.
With a focus on collaboration, Chris has a successful track record of driving business performance improvements, delivering transformational projects, technology solutions and developing high performing teams to maximize business valuations which in turn aligns with our business goals seamlessly.
Chris has over 20 years of experience in the building and construction industry working on a wide range of infrastructure projects servicing the residential, commercial and public sectors.
Over the past 12 years, Chris has estimated a variety of large-scale road infrastructure projects and is skilled at preparing quantity take-offs and first principles estimates to client requirements. He is also experienced in reporting, coordinating and scheduling of projects and contracts.
Chris is a highly-skilled user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Benchmark (First Principles) Estimating and MS Project software applications.
Craig brings to the role substantial project experience on roads, rail, bridges and tunnels- ranging from local infrastructure to some of Australia and New Zealand's largest projects.
Craig's risk expertise includes assessment, analysis and management. He also facilitates risk workshops and conducts training sessions, and is an accomplished estimator from parametric through to first principles estimates. In addition, he has prepared contract documents for many infrastructure projects.
Craig has worked extensively with major Roads and Transport Authorities in the delivery of estimating and risk services, and is an integral member of the MIEngineers team on Professional Advisory and Estimating Panels for clients such as Roads and Maritime Services, New Zealand Transport Agency, Main Roads Western Australia and South Australian Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, just to name a few.

Graham has over 35 years' experience with many reputable consulting engineering practices, holding positions such as regional manager, senior project manager and director.
With his technical and leadership skills, Graham oversees MIEngineers' comprehensive range of Civil and Structural engineering services by focusing on client relationships and ensuring all projects undertaken are delivered practicably, to budget and on time.
One of Graham's key responsibilities has been to maintain client relationships and lead the MIEngineers team as project director for multiple Discovery Park projects throughout NSW, Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Jarrod started with MIEngineers as an Undergraduate while completing his Bachelor of Engineering degree at the University of Wollongong and is now a Graduate Engineer. Jarrod has been involved in the design and documentation of civil and structural projects such as major redevelopments and civil infrastructure upgrade projects.
During this time, Jarrod has a gained a wide range of knowledge and experience in civil and structural design of civil elements such as stormwater, road and pavement, footing systems, sediment and erosion control and drainage.
Jeffrey is a highly skilled member of the MIEngineers team, with over 10 years of experience in roles that have included Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, Site Engineer and Project Manager on significant infrastructure projects that have included Parramatta and Sydney Light Rail.
Jeffrey possesses expert knowledge and experience in current specialist software related to his core practice areas.
Jeffrey has extensive experience working and interfacing with State, Local Government and Private organisations which include TfNSW, Sydney Trains, Sydney Water, Ausgrid, Melbourne Water, Stockland, City of Sydney and City of Parramatta.
John is a multi-disciplined Civil Engineer with over 10 years of experience and working knowledge of earthworks, utilities, roads, varying structures, rail & commercial developments.
Prior to MIEngineers, John has spent time on-site in delivery roles and as an Estimator with Tier 1 & 2 Contractors.
John's key skills and experience to date include:
Developing, quantifying and/or verifying BOQs
First-principles estimating as an advanced user of Benchmark Estimating software
Development of detailed R&O registers
Conducting estimate review meetings with senior team members
Developing thorough construction tender programs with concise timeframes and logic

Jordan has spent 3 years with Abergeldie Contractors, working in construction and tendering roles, and has worked on a range of infrastructure projects, including road, earthworks, bridge and substation construction, and has experience in assisting in the development of tender estimates
Jordan joined MIEngineers this year, and is working on a variety of projects to enhance his skills and experience.

As our Business Operations Manager, Laura brings to the role a wealth of experience in employee management, business accounting and project management. Laura's diverse experience together with her strong business acumen positions her to deliver informed commercial advice for MIEngineers' Directors, management and wider team.
Laura's key responsibilities include operational analysis, budgeting, managing teams, generating and providing P&L reports, liaising with external and internal stakeholders, reviewing and improving business processes, negotiating contracts, coordinating quality and WHS management systems and assisting in the implementation of regular employee performance appraisals.
Laura holds a Diploma of Business (Frontline Management) and a Diploma in Accounting, has completed short courses in Advanced Safety Awareness, Managing the Risks in the Employment Relationship, Recruitment Process and Selection Techniques, and is a registered Justice of the Peace (JP) in NSW.

Liz brings to the company a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked in various professional service industries with a number of high-profile companies. She is a hardworking and versatile business administrator with proven organisational skills and has a thorough knowledge of corporate policies and procedures. Demonstrating excellent communication and people skills with extensive administrative capabilities have made Liz a valued member of the corporate team.
Liz's multi-faceted role also means she is a skilled accounts administrator with the ability to handle multiple accounts on an ongoing basis. Exceptional understanding of various software programs thanks to over 12 years of experience with various accounting packages and practices. Holding impressive accounting skills ensures those involved with our complex accounts always know the status of their ongoing projects and how any issues can be resolved and matters are dealt with in a timely manner.

Mike is a Senior Engineer with more than 20 years' industry experience in the provision of estimating, constructability and commercial services for both industry and government clients such as Roads and Maritime Services; SA Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure; Queensland Transport and Main Roads; Main Roads WA; NZ Transport Agency; and Highways England in the UK.
Mike's role showcases his expertise in the field of contract management and administration, with experience that includes the preparation/review of contract documentation for numerous RMS and Council projects. He has also prepared or reviewed construction programmes and variation claims for contractors and assessed claims on behalf of RMS for large-scale road and bridge projects. Mike has also prepared/ project managed countless estimates at all design stages for multiple Roads and Transport Authorities in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
Mike is Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Diploma of Project Management qualified, and maintains professional affiliations with the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers and the Australian Cost Engineering Society.

Rob is a leading figure in civil engineering with over 30 years of project experience, which includes 20 years of experience in construction programming, design and estimating. In an impressive career thus far, Rob has advised on more than 500 road, bridge and tunnel projects in Australia and the UK.
A Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, Rob established MIEngineers more than 30 years ago, and since then has built a business and personal reputation that are both highly regarded by industry peers and clients around the world.
A seasoned entrepreneur and industry first mover, Rob is also founder and director of Benchmark Estimating Software (civil estimating software), Roadworks Estimator (parametric modelling), and Roadworks Strategic Manager which is used by public and private sector organisations in Australia and overseas. Rob actively contributes to professional cost estimating dialogues and presents regularly on cost estimating and risk issues in Australia and overseas to Roads and Transport Authorities and industry forums.
Founding Director, Robert MacDonald, is world-renowned for cost estimating innovation and best practice. His passion for cost engineering infuses our business culture and underpins our business philosophy, which is best summed up as Design | Cost | Deliver.
With over 6 years of industry experience, Roy is a competent Civil Engineer, Designer and Project Manager skilled in earthworks, roadworks, and stormwater drainage. He is also a proficient user of leading design software applications such as 12d Model, DRAINS, and CAD. Since joining MIEngineers in 2014, Roy has worked on numerous civil infrastructure projects of varying sizes and scopes.
Roy is also a valuable member of the MIEngineers team on the RMS Constructability Panel, providing advice on the constructability, construction staging, and Safety in Design aspects of numerous large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
Sandeep has spent 22 years as an Engineer working in contract management, estimating and Quantity Surveyor roles, and has worked on a range of infrastructure projects, including road, earthworks, bridge and building construction, and has experience in assisting in the development of tender estimates
Sandeep recently joined MIEngineers, and is working on a variety of projects to enhance his skills and experience.

Tom is a vital member of the MIEngineers Design and Project Management team, bringing to the business over 15 years consulting engineering experience in small and medium sized firms, where he has delivered and managed many structural projects for infrastructure, industrial, commercial and residential projects.
Tom's broad skill base includes structural design and assessment, as well as constructability analysis, certification of complex structures, project management and client management. He has delivered complex structures such as multi-storey reinforced concrete frame residential buildings, the tallest at 46 storeys; portal frames and PT slabs for the IKEA flagship Sydney store; and project planning for the conversion of large World War II oil tanks into offices.
Tom is Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Structural) qualified and is also skilled in the design of concrete, steel, composite and timber structures. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the use of all leading design packages including Microstran, Stand7, TEDDs, Rapt, AutoCAD, ETABs, Staad and MS Project.
