---Abbott & Costello began seeing a revival in the late 1980's when Warner Home Video released a collection of restored clips from their "Colgate Comedy Hour" shows. The Abbott & Costello Fan Club began generating even more members from the U.S. and around the world and a product division, headed by Lou's daughter, Chris Costello, was added to promote product demand from members. As more people learned about A&C products being offered through the club, they also assumed that they had to be a member in order to purchase the products being offered. Chris decided to eliminate the confusion by shutting down the club product section in September 2000.
