The Ayer Community School was incorporated in 1974 and has served the Ayer area ever since. Families enjoyed a half-day program until the fall of 1996 when a quality childcare program was added... ACS is a non-profit, private preschool, prekindergarten, and childcare center serving families with children ages 2.9 through 6 years of age in Ayer and all surrounding communities... The Ayer Community School's primary goal is to provide a warm, homey atmosphere in which a child will find her/his first school experience enjoyable and rewarding. The program provides an environment rich in real and vicarious experiences where creativity and discovery flourish and where maximum developmental growth occurs socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
