Introduction Beyond Point and Click is a series of five works about graphic design and interactivity. Each composition describes and illustrates the important role of graphic design in interactive work. Through the exploration of texture, context, and the "behavior" of designed elements within interactive media, the pieces suggest ways for designers to go "Beyond Point and Click." Macromedia Flash® has opened up a whole world of creative potential to designers previously constrained by HTML and other, older technologies, but the power to create work that conveys a powerful experience still lies in the ability to craft a potent visual message.
