Brad Adgate

With 35+ years of experience in the industry, Brad Adgate is a well-known media insights veteran. Adgate has worked at many top tier advertising agencies and media companies. These include working in the media research departments at Grey Advertising, Backer & Spielvogel, Saatchi & Saatchi Compton and Horizon Media, as well as ad sales research positions at LBS Communications, Turner Broadcasting, Westinghouse Satellite Communications, The Family Channel, and Comcast Spotlight. Through the years, Adgate has provided POV's, presentations, webinars, white papers, and participated in numerous industry panels. Adgate has also been published on a number of occasions by Ad Age, Adweek, Mediapos t and is a contributor to Forbes. Adgate has been sought by the media for his industry insights. He has been interviewed on numerous television and radio outlets about media including The Daily Show, CBS Sunday Morning, Bloomberg, Fox Business, Marketwatch, NPR and CNBC. Adgate has been quoted frequently in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week and other prominent publications. Adgate has been a member of several advisory boards and committees, including the Council for Research Excellence in which he chaired the Digital Committee, the Board of Directors of the Media Rating Council, The Board of Governors of the Advertising Research Foundation as well as on the advisory boards for Nielsen's Local TV Committee, Arbitron Radio and Kantar Media. Adgate had also occupied the chair of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's)'s Media Measurement Committee. As chair of the committee, Adgate co-authored the very first P.O.V. from the 4A's on the need to improve local TV audience measurement. Adgate is a graduate of Jacksonville University with a bachelor's degree in history and political science. In 2014, he was named "One of 80 Alumni You Should Know" by the university.

Charles A. Wiebe - Managing Director

Mr. Wiebe is a Managing Director of BIA Capital Strategies. He joined the firm's affiliate, BIA Capital Corp., in 1996 and is a General Partner and Co-founder of BIA Digital Partners, LP, a mezzanine-focused, private fund. He actively assists telecommunications and media clients in a variety of transformative transactions involving M&A, strategic advisory, fundraising, and/or fairness opinion expertise. Prior to joining BIA, Mr. Wiebe was a Vice President with Mellon Bank providing acquisition finance services to technology companies in the Washington region. From 1989 to 1991 he served in American Security's Workout Group protecting the bank's interest in problem credits, and for three years prior he was a Vice President in the Communications Industries Group. Mr. Wiebe received a BA degree, with distinction, from Cornell University, majoring in Comparative Literature and Latin as a Cornell National Scholar. He was a member of Cornell's 1976 and 1977 NCAA championship lacrosse teams. He holds the Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Geoff Price - VP

Expertise: Impairment Testing, Asset Appraisals, Fair Market Valuations Vice President Geoff Price manages and operates BIA Advisory Services' valuation consulting group. He has been with the company since 1988 and has appraised hundreds of media and telecommunications properties worth in aggregate in the tens of billions of dollars. Price is responsible for the preparation of asset appraisals, valuation studies, strategic consulting assignments, and litigation support for clients in the communications and broadcast industries. He has also been responsible for assisting many publicly traded and privately held broadcast companies with their valuation needs associated with FASB 141/142. In addition, Price is part of the business development team and is responsible for client relationships with many of the largest broadcast companies nationwide. His appraisal and valuation experience is diverse, including reports for firms in the cellular, paging, SMR, cable, print, tower and broadcast industries. Price earned a B.S. in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, and received his M.B.A. from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Gregg E. Johnson - Managing Director

Mr. Johnson is a Managing Director and co-founded BIA Capital Strategies in 1992. He is also a General Partner and Co-founder of BIA Digital Partners, which invested over $300 million in mezzanine and equity funding in 38 lower middle market companies over ten years. He provides strategic financial advice in M & A transactions, financial recapitalizations and special situations and raises debt and equity capital. He is particularly involved in traditional and digital media and related sector companies. Prior to joining BIA Capital Strategies, Mr. Johnson was the Division Manager of Communications Lending from 1984 to 1992 at American Security Bank and its Maryland National Bank affiliate (now Bank of America) in Washington, D.C. He led and directed complex debt transactions for small to mid-sized media and telecommunications firms throughout the U.S. Prior to that, he served in several lending capacities at Lincoln First Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) in New York and Texas. Kevin Gallagher

Mark Giannini, BIA Advisory Services' senior vice president and chief operating officer, is responsible for growth strategy and operations. He is an established expert in corporate management, senior sales management and strategic planning. Mark is heavily involved in identifying and leading new business opportunities. He takes pride in ensuring the establishment and maintenance of highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of all customers. Prior to joining BIA, Mark was vice president of sales and operations for Progressive Communications Technologies, a privately held telecommunications engineering and consulting firm. He was a principal with Amerinet and led its expansion from a regional communications reseller to a facilities-based international carrier. He also served as regional vice president for Emery Air Freight where he was recognized as a top producing sales executive for the U.S. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from Providence College and a master's degree in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Mark is married and has two children. He and his wife reside in Northern Virginia. Mark is an avid baseball fan and a Red Sox fanatic. He once had the opportunity to play baseball at a major league fantasy camp and even managed to come away unscathed.

Mike Andres - Managing Director

Additionally, Nicole helps with strategic and financial consulting projects by providing insights and analysis on broadcasting and digital trends. She also covers the impact of economics and consumer trends on advertising. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Nicole has always loved media. According to her parents, she said "Big Bird" before she said "Mom" or "Dad". They're still miffed. Nicole began her career as the Editor of Inside Radio before a five-year stint in finance working for BNP Paribas where she focused on Operations. Missing media, she then spent 14 years at Emmis Communications at the corporate level in the Strategy Group focusing on sales and acquisitions as well as at the local level in New York where she served as Vice President Customer Success. From there, Nicole worked with the New York State Broadcasters Association advocating for New York City radio. Nicole received her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Communications from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She also has an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management.

Richard V. Ducey - Managing Director

Rick leads BIA Advisroy Services' strategy consulting practice and serves as an advisor to an affiliated investment banking group BIA Capital Strategies. He helps client with strategic planning, developing partnership strategies, product planning, and achieving revenue growth and diversification. He helps marketers including brands and agencies with effective planning and use of digital media platforms. He also works on investment banking projects assisting buy-side and sell-side clients. Rick co-cofounded SpectraRep in 2000, a technology company that specializes in emergency alert and warning solutions. Prior to joining BIA, Rick headed the National Association of Broadcaster's Research and Information Group overseeing all research and information technology initiatives. Rick is an adjunct professor at George Washington University where he teaches classes in digital media entrepreneurship. Rick earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University, his M.S. from Syracuse University and his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Outside work hours, Rick's passions are scuba diving, white water kayaking and his totally magnificent granddaughter. Tom Buono has overseen the growth of BIA Financial Network into a diversified network of firms focused on delivering a valuable portfolio of services to the media industry. Tom has been involved in the creation and management of BIA Capital Strategies, LLC, a communications industry investment bank; BIA Digital Partners LP, a mezzanine investment fund; and, BIA Advisory Services, a data analytics, consulting and valuation services firm focused on the local media and advertising sector. Tom is viewed as one of the leading authorities on communications industry business values, investments and strategies. Over the course of his career, Buono has been involved in the valuation of billions of dollars worth of communications properties, has spoken on panels for virtually all the major communications industry trade associations and has testified as a valuation expert in many communications disputes and before Congress. He has also been a principal in a venture capital firm, the president of a paging and SMR business, and the partial owner of a number of radio stations. He is often quoted in trade publications, business magazines and national newspapers. Buono graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. degree in applied mathematics from Clarkson College of Technology. Upon graduation, he enrolled in General Electric's Financial Management Program and graduated in the top 10 percent of this prestigious national program. He received his M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1981. Buono is also NASD certified as a broker-dealer representative. Woody Allen - CFO

Woody Allen is the Chief Financial Officer of BIA Financial Network (BIAfn). In addition to overseeing the financial activities of the company, Allen is a business strategist, coach and mentor to companies in the US and Europe. He brings to his role of CFO more than 35 years experience as a C-level executive, including roles as President, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chairman of the Board for publicly traded companies. Allen has served on the Boards of Directors of numerous companies in businesses ranging from radio broadcasting to semiconductor equipment manufacturing. His current roles include Chairman of the Audit Committee for Precision Tune Auto Care, a global franchisor of auto care centers; chief strategist and Board member for CEO-CF, a Europe-based company specializing in facilitating collaboration among entrepreneurial CEOs; and President of Allen Management Services, a company which offers financial, leadership and executive training to mid and high level executives of small to medium-sized businesses. Allen was recently named to the Board of publicly traded GBS Enterprises, and will serve as Chairman of the Governance Committee. After earning his degree in Finance and Accounting, Woody has studied business, linguistics, biology and somatics with a variety of renowned teachers. He is a certified Master Somatic Coach with Strozzi Institute, a California-based educational organization, and has been published in an anthology entitled, "Being Human at Work."
