Carla Barrett is the current Attorney In Charge of the Boston Trial Unit at the Committee for Public Counsel Services - Public Defender Division, where she manages a large office, tries cases, and liaises with various stakeholders in the field. Chinh is a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, where he co-chairs the Venture Capital & Emerging Technology Practice and co-chairs the Boston Intellectual Property Practice. His practice focuses on the strategic creation, implementation, and protection of intellectual property rights for technology and life science clients. Christine Bellon is Chief Legal Officer of Beam Therapeutics. She brings to Beam more than 25 years of experience in the life science industry. Prior to joining Beam, Christine served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Forma Therapeutics, Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs for Relay Therapeutics, and Vice President of Legal Affairs at Blueprint Medicines. Colin Van Dyke is the Managing Partner at Anderson & Kreiger. There, he helps clients with a wide array of environmental and real estate matters, including remediation and redevelopment of contaminated properties, environmental compliance and enforcement defense, and transactional due diligence and contract negotiation. He has helped the firm revise its hiring procedures to ensure it identifies a diverse pool of candidates for all positions. He also helped establish the Anderson & Kreiger Legal Diversity Fund, which provides financial, mentoring, and networking support to law students and college students interested in pursuing legal careers and who identify as a member of a racial or ethnic group that is traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession. At the BBA, Colin has been active in the Environmental Law Section, including the Sustainability Task Force. He has also served on the Fellows Committee, the Adams Benefit Steering Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Summer Jobs Program. David Solet

Assistant District Attorney David Solet serves as the Chief of the Cold Case Homicide Unit of the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. He has previously served as the Chief of the MDAO's Cyber Protection Unit, and as the office's General Counsel. He has prosecuted offenders in cases involving murder, child exploitation, narcotics trafficking, public corruption, and organized crime, and has trained police and prosecutors in a wide variety of topics including search warrants, wiretaps, digital evidence, and the law of weapons. From April 2015 to March 2019, David served as the Chief Legal Counsel of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS), where he advised the Commonwealth's Secretary of Public Safety on legal and legislative affairs, chaired the Massachusetts Witness Protection Board, and was a member of the Illegal Tobacco Task Force. He is a former co-chair of the Boston Bar Association's Criminal Law Steering Committee and was a member of the BBA's Working Group on State Gun Control Issues and the BBA's Death Penalty Working Group. He also serves as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General's Corps, United States Army Reserve, where he been a Special Victims Counsel and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) legal advisor. In his current assignment, he serves as defense counsel for military service members, as a member of the 154th Legal Operations Detachment (TDS). Deb is the former Managing Partner of Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP and a current Chair of the firm. She focuses her practice on estate and trust administration and estate planning for high net worth individuals and families. Elizabeth (Lizz) Matos is the Civil Rights Division Chief and Senior Advisor to the Attorney General at the Attorney General's Office. Between 2018 and summer 2023, Lizz was the Executive Director of Prisoners' Legal Services of Massachusetts (PLS). Lizz has been involved in litigation about solitary confinement practices regarding prisoners with mental illness, discrimination against deaf and hard of hearing prisoners, draconian classification practices, guard-on-prisoner assaults, and lowering exorbitant and monopolistic prison phone rates. Before her ED appointment, Lizz worked as a Staff Attorney at PLS and previously worked as a Staff Attorney at South Coastal Counties Legal Services where she practiced housing, education, disability, and immigration law. Giselle Joffre is Co-Chair of Foley Hoag's White Collar Crime & Government Investigations Practice. Mark Fleming is vice chair of WilmerHale's Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Practice. Mark's broad-based appellate experience covers numerous subject areas, ranging from patent law, securities and complex business disputes to real estate, antitrust and tax. He has appeared in more than 250 appellate cases and personally presented oral argument in 56 of them, including seven before the Supreme Court of the United States. In November 2019, he argued three complex Federal Circuit appeals for different clients in a single week. And in June 2022, he won vacatur of the largest patent infringement judgment in history, which caused Litigation Daily to recognize him as "Litigator of the Week." Mark Lee has been an Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office since 1997. Miranda is a partner in the Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution group at Goodwin, which she joined in 2023. Miranda represents clients in government investigations, including those involving health care fraud and abuse matters. Nancy is a partner at Hinckley Allen, where she represents financial institutions and other businesses with respect to regulatory compliance, operations, privacy, and data security matters. Nancy chairs the Firm's Privacy & Data Security Law Group and co-chairs its Banking & Financial Institutions Law Group. At the Boston Bar, Nancy was Co-Chair of the Banking Committee from 2005 to 2009, served on the Diversity & Inclusion Section from 2010 to 2014, and is now a member of the BBF Society of Fellows. On the BBA Council, she has served as a member of the Joint Audit Committee and is currently a member of the Executive Committee and the Joint Finance Committee.
