BUFFALO ROCK LODGE

Buffalo Rock Lodge was built in 1998 by Art and Marilyn Oakes and opened for business in 1999. Marilyn continues to operate the lodge with the help of her family and seasonal work campers... We are located less than 20 minutes from Mount Rushmore, about 5 minutes from the entrance to Custer State Park, one half-mile off the Norbeck Scenic Byway, just 12 minutes from the entrance to the Needles Highway, and within an hour's drive of every major attraction within the Black Hills. Rapid City and the regional airport are 40 minutes away, and Badlands National Park is only 45 minutes past that... We welcome children aged 8 and above in the lodge. All ages are welcome in the cabins. Climbing on antique equipment displays is prohibited, and climbing on rock outcrops is strongly discouraged. We have a great playground area if your kids need to burn off energy.
