Dr Ali Zad

Dr. Zad is an Australian trained Gastroenterologist with a sub-specialty interest in Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Based at Buderim Gastroenterology Centre, he provides consultation services in general gastroenterology including IBD, inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures including bowel cancer screening.

Dr Andrew McIntyre

Dr Andrew McIntyre graduated and gained his qualifications in 1990 from Qld University. He opened the doors to Buderim Gastroenterology in 1997 and has held the reins of this practice since that time ensuring its ongoing success for over 16 years now. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Gastroenterology with a special interest in ERCP and associated Therapeutic Intervention. Dr McIntyre has appointments for procedures at both Buderim Gastroenterology Centre and Buderim Private Hospital and consultation appointments at Buderim Gastroenterology Centre.

Dr Damien Heffernan

Dr Damien Heffernan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist who gained his qualifications from the University of Sydney in 2004. He joined our day hospital in February 2013 to help meet the community demand for well qualified gastroenterologists in our Sunshine Coast region. With an interest in Capsule Endoscopy, Hepatology and IBD, Dr Heffernan is a welcome addition to our practice. Dr Heffernan has procedure lists at Buderim Gastroenterology Centre and Buderim Private Hospital and consultation appointments at Buderim Gastroenterology Centre.

Dr Dawid Smalberger

Dr. Dawid Smalberger graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa with a MBCHB and MMED. He obtained Fellowship of the RACP in 2006. He is registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Physician in General Medicine. He achieved recognition of his training in gastroscopy and colonoscopy from the Gastroenterology Society of Australia. Dr. Smalberger is available for Colonoscopy and Endoscopy at Buderim Gastroenterology Centre.

Dr Vikas Gupta
