Adam Rice

Adam holds a degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Along with serving churches in both Alabama and Kentucky, he served as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army. His primary responsibilities at Capshaw include overseeing the administrative staff, facilities, and finances and overseeing the church's membership process, small group ministries, and other administrative needs. He meets with church members regularly to help them assimilate into community life and service within the church. Adam's passion in ministry is to do the work of equipping others for faithful service in the Kingdom of God. He deeply desires to help members of the Body understand the gospel's transforming power and discover how it impacts every facet of life so that they are driven to live on mission as disciple-makers for Christ. He understands the vital importance of public and private proclamation of the Word of God through expository preaching, discipleship, and biblical counseling. Adam and his wife Sarah married in 2008 and have four sons: Luke, John Wicks, Nate, and Cameron. In his spare time, Adam plays golf and coaches his sons in sports. He enjoys woodworking and all things tech.

Alabama Lisa Graham

Originally from Dothan, Alabama Lisa Graham has been a financial assistant for more than 20 years. In 2010 she joined the Capshaw staff in the role of financial secretary. The wife of a Children's Pastor at a sister church, Lisa is actively involved assisting her husband Jim within his ministry. Lisa and Jim have one son, Seth, who is currently enrolled at the University of Montevallo and is part of their Cross Country and Track Team. Lisa endeavors to live each day for Jesus, making herself available to be used within the Lord's grand scheme. Hobbies: Spending time with family

Chris Moncrief

Chris is originally from Macon, Ga. The son of two school teachers, he accepted Christ as a child and was baptized at Highland Hills Baptist Church, where he was a member for 25 years. He first sang in church as a toddler, and was a member of numerous choirs and ensembles. In his teens he began to study Classical Guitar. After a seminar performance in Milledgeville, Ga he was offered a music scholarship to Georgia College. Upon majoring in Classical Guitar Performance at Georgia College and State University, he began teaching music and touring with a secular rock band throughout the Southeast. It was around this time that he met his amazing wife Amy. The two were married, and two years later celebrated their first child Bo. Four years later, God blessed them with a daughter, Raven. With his family now complete, Chris took a more "stable" position teaching Music and coaching at a small Christian School in Savannah, Ga. It was during this three year employ that Chris began to feel a strong call to Worship Ministry. Then in his early 30's, He and his family stepped out in faith and Chris accepted a Worship Leader/Youth Director Position at a Baptist church. In 2013 Chris and Amy began to feel the Lord stirring them as though a new season was coming. Later that year, after much prayer and fasting, Chris became the Worship Leader at Capshaw Baptist Church and moved his family to north Alabama. In 2017, he was ordained Worship Pastor, and in August of 2018 he celebrated 5 years at Capshaw. Chris' passions include the true gospel of Jesus Christ, his wife, his children, his family, and his church (in that order). Chris loves people, strives for unity, and enjoys collaboration within the body. He is especially drawn to the lost: "those who are anti-Christian and militant unbelievers". Hobbies: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (especially sharing this love with my children)

Before discerning a call to vocational ministry, John worked in the television broadcasting industry, serving as a Sports Anchor/Reporter with CNN and NBC affiliates, where he enjoyed the privilege of interviewing professional athletes such as Mark McGwire, Deion Sanders, Boomer Esiason, Rick Pitino and Antoine Walker. John's report on the making of the Super Bowl XXXII football in 1998 was broadcast worldwide on CNN Headline News.

Roberta Fox

Roberta Fox has been the Nursery/Preschool Director since 2018. Her passion for and calling to children's ministries is evidenced by her 25 years of preschool administration experience. Roberta's education includes Early Childhood Education, Music, and Bible. Roberta's life has been one surrounded by Christian ministry. She grew up the daughter of a Baptist Pastor, and later would marry her husband of 46 years, also a Baptist Pastor. This path has served to uniquely equip Roberta for service within preschool ministry. She is gifted with a deep love for serving people (children in particular). Roberta's desire for Capshaw Children is to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment wherein preschoolers can hear and experience the love of Jesus. She endeavors to facilitate an environment in which children begin their journey towards faith in Christ. In addition to ministry, Roberta's passions include loving on her 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She also enjoys playing the piano and reading.

Terri Pruett

Terri Pruett and her husband Tommy joined Capshaw in 1998. They have three married children (two daughters and a son). Terri became Capshaw's Administrative Assistant in 2008. She enjoys working at the front desk for Capshaw serving the staff as well as the membership. She enjoys horseback rides with her husband, spending time with her family, gardening, and spending time with young couples and their children.

Wendy Kirkpatrick

Wendy joined the staff in January 2016. Before that, she worked in churches in Illinois and Virginia, and Tennessee. Wendy graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and Learning, and also majored in Bible at Welch College. In 2002, she graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a M.A., in Instructional Leadership. After college, Wendy and her husband John, welcomed Kensi, Kade, and Kylie into their family. Wendy oversees the ministries of children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Wendy believes that discipleship should happen outside the church, just as it should inside the church. She believes the church's main responsibility is to partner with parents to equip them to be the primary disciple makers in their family. A favorite passage of hers is Psalm 78:1-7, "but tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders that He has done."
