Jim was raised in a Christian home. He separated from the church after High School. In 1997, he returned to church at the old church, Kenny Memorial Wesleyan Church. Christmas of 1988, he decided he needed to ask Christ back into his life. He then became a member of the Church in 1989. He was elected trustee in 1991, and served in that position until he joined the staff in 2010. Jim served on the Greater Ohio District Board of Administration and during this time, he learned to love Christ, The Wesleyan Church and CCWC. Athens has been his home, he is a graduate of Athens School, and Hocking Collage, with an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement. He served the City of Athens for 21 years as a Police Officer, Director of Code Enforcement and Director of Public Service and Safety. Along with his brother, he owned and operated the Fire and Rescue Equipment business for several years. He is married to his lovely wife, Judy, and they have two wonderful daughters, Gail Clay and Cammie Lindner, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Joe joined the staff at CCWC in September of 2023 one serves as the Director of Congregational care overseeing the Not Alone Ministry and conducting visits to Church members who are homebound or in care facilities in our region. Joe and his family have been a part of CCWC going back to 1997 when shortly after he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Joe and his wife Holly reside in Athens and have a daughter Becca who is currently attending college in Georgia. He obtained his Master's of divinity in Pastoral Care and counseling from Ohio Christian University. Joe is blessed to serve God, Christ Community Wesleyan Church and our community. He and his wife also serve our community as first responders. He enjoys fishing, cooking, traveling and reading. His favorite passage of Scripture that he says speaks directly to his walk with Jesus and his ministry is Matthew 18:10-14 also known as the parable of the lost sheep.

Kasie joined the CCWC staff in Summer of 2023. She has attended CCWC since February of 2022 with her Husband, Austin Willoughby and their three boys. Kasie and Austin both became members of CCWC and were baptized in January of 2023. From attending services, becoming a Member and engaging in various ministries within the Church, she has witnessed firsthand the impact of CCWC, through God, in transforming lives and nurturing a vibrant community of believers.

Richard Meeks

Richard sensed God's call into the ministry in the sixth grade. He preached his first sermon in the eighth grade at a downtown mission in Portland, Oregon, using Acts 10:34-35 as his text. Following his graduation from High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably. Richard has 40 years of ministry experience, having served as a pastor of local churches, a District Superintendent, and a denominational leader in The Wesleyan Church. For a season, he was also a member of a national leadership team working with multiple denominations in church revitalization. He is currently the Director of Leader Development for the Greater Ohio District, where he facilitates and coaches Level UP Leadership and leads the G3:28 Project. He and his wife, Crystal, have three children - each with families of their own, who have given them eight grandchildren.

Shelly Daniels started working at CCWC in the First Friends Preschool-Daycare in August of 2000. She has held different positions throughout the years from a teacher's aide to her current position as Daycare-Preschool Director. She is married to her wonderful husband of 30 years, Jeremy Daniels. They have a son, Tyler Daniels, a daughter and son-in-law, Haley & Cyrus Jones, and 2 wonderful grandsons Hunter & Wesson Jones. Shelly is thankful that God opened up this opportunity for her. She is blessed to work in a wonderful Christian environment surrounded by God's love and other people who love Him. She loves the people she works with and loves seeing God working amongst them.

Sue Ferguson

Sue began her work at church shortly after Kenney Memorial Church, became Christ Community Wesleyan Church and moved to its current location. She has fulfilled many office duties through the years. Currently, she is working part-time and enjoying retirement with her husband. She is a registered nursing school graduate and has held numerous positions over the years and was a brand manager for a national pharmaceutical company. She and husband, Kenny have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Besides attending their grandchildren's activities, they enjoy numerous outdoor activities including boating, kayaking, camping, cycling, and travel. Sue & Kenny began attending Kenney Memorial Church on East State St.They have been involved in many facets of our church family from small groups, Children's Ministry, Bible School, and many other volunteer opportunities.
