Jane De Boer

Jane became the secretary of Carmel Reformed Church in 1989. Prior to that, she put together the monthly newsletter (HIGHLIGHTS) on a volunteer basis for eight years. In 1990, she was asked to take on the responsibilities of bookkeeper, which included paying the bills and keeping the church's financial records. She worked out of her home until 2004, and then she moved into the office in the new church building. Jane also coordinates the use of the building and keeps the membership up-to-date. Jane has been a lifetime member of Carmel Church. She and her husband, Ken, have two married daughters and 5 grandchildren.

Nikki Van Meeteren

Nikki became the office administrator of Carmel Reformed Church in 2023. She puts together the monthly newsletter (HIGHLIGHTS), prepares the bulletin on a weekly basis, coordinates the use of the building and keeps the membership up-to-date. . She and her husband, Eric, have 4 children: Carter, Trevor, Harper, and Bryer and live in Hull.

Stephanie Schelling

Stephanie started at Carmel Church in 2019. She assists the deacons with the church's financial records and paying bills, does the behind the scenes work on the website, and fills in where needed. Stephanie and her husband, Paul, have 5 children: Josie, Braylee, Kace, Cambry, and Maddey. They live just outside of Middleburg where Paul owns a repair shop and farms.

Twila Renes

Job Titles:
  • Custodian
Twila has been the custodian of Carmel Reformed Church since 2008. She takes care of the day-to-day cleaning and makes sure that the building is ready for various activities in the church. Twila lives near Carmel with her husband, Jerry. They have a married daughter, 3 sons, and one granddaughter. Twila also works for Cooperative Credit in Sioux Center.
