A community activist with boundless energy and a strong commitment to promoting healthy growth while preserving the quality of life in Coeur d'Alene, Amy Evans has spent countless hours over the years dedicating her talents to a wide variety of local causes. She served six years on the city's Planning Commission, was an integral part of a team of volunteers who helped save a historic downtown elementary school, and was a key player in a membership drive that attracted more than 16,000 people to the Lake City's Kroc Community Center. Amy is well known for her tireless efforts on community projects and dedication to education, with two children of her own attending Coeur d'Alene public schools. She brings that same enthusiasm and focus to the Coeur d'Alene City Council, a position she pursued because of her passion to help shape a vibrant future. Amy is steadfast in her commitment to creating good jobs, supporting a top-rate educational system, and providing optimum recreational opportunities. Amy is a native of Lewiston, Idaho. She met her husband, Doug, while attending Idaho State University. Amy and Doug have been married for 20 years and have two children, Max and Lucy. She is currently employed as the Vice President of Idaho Youth Ranch in Coeur d'Alene.

Christie Wood

Christie Wood retired as a sergeant from the Coeur d'Alene Police Department in 2015 after 26 years of service. She worked in both the Patrol Division and the Detective Division in several different assignments throughout the years. She was a supervisor in the Detective Division, and the Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Police Department for her last 15 years of service. Prior to being hired by the Coeur d'Alene Police Department, Christie was a law enforcement specialist in the U. S. Air Force. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies and a minor in Media Relations. Christie has been a member of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations since 2007, filling the law enforcement seat. She has served as president of the organization for the past nine years. Christie served as an elected Board Member for School District 271 from 2000 to 2008. She has served as an elected Board Member of Trustees at North Idaho College since 2004. Christie has served as a City of Coeur d'Alene Parks & Recreation Commissioner since July of 2016. Christie is married to her husband, David Wood, and has one son, Bryan. Her interests are education, public safety, and public governance. She enjoys walking her dog on the City trails, gardening, and traveling.

Mayor Jim Hammond was raised in Missoula, Montana. His work experience began early working for the Coca Cola bottling plant from 4th grade till out of high school. He attended Carroll College (Helena, Montana) where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree. He later earned a Master of Education Administration at Whitworth College (Spokane, Washington) and then furthered his public administration studies through the University of Idaho. Jim worked in education administration as an elementary principal in Washington and Idaho. Since 1976, he has served the residents of Kootenai County as Idaho State Senator and Mayor of Post Falls, Idaho, President of City Council, and Commissioner for Planning and Zoning in Post Falls, Idaho. He is certified as an International City Manager Association Credentialed Manager and served as both the Post Falls City and Coeur d'Alene City Administrator.

Kiki Miller has been a Coeur d'Alene resident since 1975. She has owned Kagey Company, Inc., a local marketing, publication and promotions firm, since 1992. She has served as a Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, as a Women's Center Board Member (regional domestic violence organization) and has been named Volunteer of the Year for both the Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls Chambers. She also received Woman of the Year honors from the local Soroptimist organization and has volunteered or been appointed to several leadership roles for numerous organizations and nonprofits as well as managing several area events. Kiki and her husband have one son who attends a musical theatre conservatory school in New York City.

Woody McEvers

Woody McEvers has called North Idaho home since 1978, after leaving the beaches and desert of Southern California. He and his brother Daren purchased the popular downtown Coeur d'Alene restaurant Rustler's Roost in 1983. His city experience started with the Traffic Safety Commission in September, 1995, where he served for two years. He was then appointed to the Planning Commission in May, 1997 and served for five years. Elected to the City Council in 2002, Woody believes government should be responsible to its citizens through honesty, integrity, and fiscal responsibility. Woody serves as Chairman of the Public Works Committee and is Council President. He was also instrumental in the creation of Coeur d'Alene's Government Cable TV station, CDA-TV. Woody is also Chairman for the Kootenai County EMS System and has served since 2004. During Woody's years of service, many important projects have been accomplished. Riverstone Development, KROC Center, the new Library, expansion of our Wastewater Treatment Facility and creation of the City's newest water well. Along with the "gem" of McEuen Park, Woody is looking forward to the completion of the BLM park corridor facilities and a new Skate Park.
