CHILDS GALLERY

Established in 1937 on Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay, Childs Gallery holds an extensive inventory of oil paintings, drawings, watercolors, prints, and sculpture. We actively service collectors, artists, estates, and corporate clients throughout the country in the buying and selling of fine art and have placed exceptional works in major museums nationwide... Since our founding, we have been entrusted with handling many artists' estates, including American modernist painter Sally Michel Avery and monumental sculptor Donald De Lue, along with celebrated collector's estates of wide-ranging, distinguished material. Though Childs is historically known for a fine and comprehensive collection of Marine Art and New England Impressionism, our current holdings also reflect the changing tastes of our clients, as well as new scholarship on artists and art historical periods.
