The CORE Institute was founded in Tallahassee, Florida in 1990 by George & Patricia Kousaleos. For 24 years CORE Institute trained over 1,200 individuals in both 500-hour and 650-hour Professional Massage Therapy Licensure programs that focused on advanced manual therapy, anatomy & physiology, professional ethics, and community service. This program was closed in January 2014 allowing the CORE Institute to currently focus its energies on advanced educational programs. In 1992, CORE Institute developed advanced continuing education seminars on CORE Structural Integration, CORE Myofascial Therapy and CORE Sports & Performance Bodywork. These advanced programs have been taught to over 5,000 manual therapists in the US, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, Germany and Australia.
