Dr. Beason was born in Shelby, North Carolina and grew up on a small farm in Gaffney, South Carolina. After High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and was stationed in Gulfport, Mississippi. After completing his enlistment in the navy, he began a career in the construction business and for many years built multi-story buildings. A few years later, he began pursuing his ministerial education and received a Bachelor of Science from Tabor College, in Hillsboro, Kansas, and a Master of Divinity and Dr. of Ministry from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has served churches in South Carolina, Alabama and most recently in Columbus, Kansas. Roger is an active golfer, hunter, musician, and has officiated sports for many years. He enjoys golfing with his wife, Trudy and spending time with their family. They have 12 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
Gabe is a commissioned minister who has served Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregations as a music director for over 25 years. In addition to singing with the Kansas City Chorale, Wm. Baker Festival Singers and Fine Arts Chorale, Gabe performs as a drummer/singer with local bands. He has played in the orchestra for several community theater groups and is currently performing with KC Cabaret.
