Brandon Kiser

Brandon Kiser is Office Manager and Executive Assistant at David M. Schwarz Architects. Originally from Kentucky, Brandon moved to DC after earning his Master of Public Administration from Murray State University. He joined the firm in 2017 and plays a critical role in managing office communications, coordinating meetings and supporting our Principals and Associates. Brandon has a passion for both historic preservation and downtown revitalization as tools for the economic development of rural communities. You'll catch him on weekends strolling through DC's beautiful neighborhoods, sipping bourbon on the porch or reading George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire.

Craig Williams

Craig Williams is a Principal of David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc., has been with the firm since 1979. He received his education at The University of Maryland School of Architecture and was also an Architectural History teaching assistant while there. He has been registered in the District of Columbia since 1984 and is also registered in Texas, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. One of the things he most appreciates about being an architect is learning through our work about the businesses, institutions and pursuits in which he has interests - museums & galleries, wineries, performing arts, horse racing and historic preservation, to name a few. Craig is known around the office for his sardonic humor and has mellowed tremendously over the years. Outside of the office he spends time with his wife Kim and pursues his interests in photography, wine and cooking, vintage Italian cars, vacuum tube audio, woodworking and other time-consuming hobbies. In his remaining spare time Craig can be heard on WPFW 89.3FM as a jazz DJ Thursday mornings from 5:00 - 8:00 a.m. and can also be found volunteering for the Humane Rescue Alliance, where he was recently adopted Stripe, a loveable mixed-breed pooch.

David M. Schwarz - Chairman, Founder

David M. Schwarz is the Founder & Chairman of the Washington, DC-based design firm David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. Mr. Schwarz received his Bachelor's Degree from St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland and earned his Masters of Architecture from Yale University in 1974. Mr. Schwarz was named the 2015 Driehaus Prize Laureate, was the 2014 recipient of the Arthur Ross Award, and received one of the first President's Awards from the National Building Museum. His work has also received awards from the Urban Land Institute, Congress of New Urbanism, American Institute of Architects, Society of American Registered Architects, National Sculpture Society, and others. In addition to his duties at DMSAS, Mr. Schwarz has previously led studios at both Yale University and the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Schwarz is a Sterling Fellow at Yale University. Mr. Schwarz is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the National Building Museum, the Board of Overseers for the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and the Institute for Classical Architecture and Classical America.

Dean Reineking

Dean Reineking is an Associate and Project Manager with David M. Schwarz Architects. During his time with the firm, Dean has managed several of the firm's institutional projects, including those for St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Vanderbilt's Residential College C, and the Mellon Hall of St. John's College. Dean also has specific expertise in mixed-use development design and has contributed to the firm's work with Washington, DC projects for The Waycroft and Chevy Chase Lake, in addition to several master planning feasibility studies for projects in Washington, DC, Austin, TX and Dallas, TX. Dean serves on the firm's CAD/BIM Committee, ensuring that the firm utilizes the best technology and offers its junior members training to develop the technical expertise required for advancement. Dean previously worked as the firm's recruiting director and also contributed as an instructor with the firm's design studio class at the Catholic University of America. Prior to joining DMSAS, Dean received his Masters of Architecture from the University of Miami, where he received additional certificates in Classical Architecture and Historic Preservation. Outside the office, Dean serves as a reservist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Derek Marks

Derek Marks is an Associate at David M Schwarz Architects, serving as a project manager, director of recruiting and publications, and the co-chair of the firm's Community Outreach Committee. He joined DMSAS in 2015, attracted by the firm's diverse portfolio - particularly its performing arts work - and its iterative approach to design. Since then, he has contributed to projects including The Waycroft Apartments in Arlington, VA; Rosewood Le Guanahani, three private residences, and studies for higher education campuses and a decorative arts museum. On each project, he has valued the opportunities provided for collaborative exploration in the pursuit of excellence. When Derek was a kid, he drew comics. As he drew, the settings often surpassed the story. A friend noticed and suggested a career in design and a decades-long love of the built environment was born. He began work in his first architecture office in high school, graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's in Urban Planning, completed co-operative education stints at various architecture, planning, and historic preservation firms, and today is happy to be in an office with a similarly diverse approach to design. Derek and his partner Ed live in the District of Columbia with their two dogs: George, a Boston Terrier, and Otto, a puggle. Outside the office, Derek is an avid cook and a fledgling gardener.

Douglas Johnson

Douglas Johnson is the Chief Administrative Officer with David M Schwarz Architects, Inc. Douglas grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and has lived in Washington, DC since 1987 after graduating from Old Dominion University with a degree in finance. Prior to joining the firm, Douglas worked in the Department of Defense for 25 years. Douglas provides internal and external coordination and management of all administrative activities related to the firm's operations, including finance, accounting, human resources and marketing. He also participates in the development and implementation of activities related to the firm's projects, mission and goals. While being a finance and business type, Douglas has always been interested in architecture. So much so that he married an architect. Douglas and his husband, Brett, have been renovating and living in historic homes since they met over 30 years ago. At this point, they are not sure if it's a passion or an addiction. Their recent projects include renovating a 1912 Beaux Arts townhouse where they reside in DC and a historic 1800's house in South Georgia near where Brett grew up.

Faith Primozic

Faith Primozic has always loved how buildings have the capability to infuse art and beauty into everyday life. In her early years, she discovered the field of architecture at the intersection of her artistic and technical interests. After receiving her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame, she left her home in Chicago to join DMSAS in 2022. Her background in traditional and vernacular architecture continues to drive her design decisions and methodology in her work. After receiving the David M. Schwarz Travel Fellowship in 2021, Faith completed extensive research into the role of ceramics as a structural and ornamental building material. Her travels to Spain and Portugal provided insight into how historical materials and methods can be used to facilitate modern-day solutions to design problems. Outside of architecture, Faith enjoys painting, making pottery, playing the piano, and adding to her ever-growing collection of houseplants.

Francis Basoah

Francis joined DMSAS in April 2014 as the Controller, managing the daily accounting and finance duties of the firm. His love for numbers in high school led him to a career in accounting and ultimately as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Ever since Francis joined the firm, it has seen a smooth operation of the department, leading to uneventful year-end close of the books and tax filings. He is married with three grown kids and currently lives in Alexandria, VA. He loves playing football and basketball with family and friends and enjoys listening to Gospel music during his leisure time.

Gary Lockrey

Gary Lockrey started at DMSAS in March 2014 and serves as a project accountant, handling project billing, accounts payable and wires as well as onboarding new employees. Gary is a proud Michigander who received his Associate's degree from Mott College in Flint, MI, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Marymount University, and a Master's degree from Stayer University in Arlington, VA. In his free time, Gary loves to go to the theater, watch Jeopardy!, and walk around DC. He's known at the firm for having the most extensive knowledge of film and Broadway!

George Fillion

Before he knew the word Architect, George wanted to be a "Lego engineer." Later when he was a teenager, he worked for his neighbor and moved furniture at the beautiful Yale campus which practically abuts his hometown of Branford, CT. Then he studied Classical Architecture and Urbanism in the five-year professional Bachelor of Architecture at Notre Dame. George focused on environmental psychology and improving the quality of life for the community. During Notre Dame's Rome program, George learned of the Genius Loci, or the spirit of the place, and the importance of contextualism in driving Architectural solutions. So it was almost inevitable he would work with DMSAS starting in January 2020. Here he has enjoyed working on a wide range of projects including the St. Charles Catholic Church, the Cook Children's Medical Center, the South Lake Multi-Family Development, and the LA Angels MLB Clubhouse at the Tempe Diablo Complex. He also enjoys sketching buildings with his friends in the firm along with the rigorous theory discussion around the lunch table. In his free time, George likes to play piano and hopes to one day design a venue he can perform in.

Gregory Hoss - President

Gregory Hoss is a Principal and the President of David M. Schwarz Architects. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America where he earned degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering and where he now serves on the Board of Visitors. Gregory is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Society for College & University Planners and the International Association of Venue Managers. Prior to joining DMSAS, he spent the first phase of his career planning and designing airport terminals around the world. Gregory has had the good fortune to work with an exceptional group of clients, helping them to identify and prioritize their goals and synthesize them into a wonderful physical reality. He likens the practice of architecture to being the maestro of an orchestra: "We hold the client's vision in our hands and then, on our cue, each player on the design team performs their role in synchronicity with all the other players to create a wonderful piece of architecture". He also works with an incredibly talented group of architects at DMSAS who share his commitment to excellence in everything the firm does. Gregory and his husband Lars Etzkorn, both natives of the greater Midwest, are honored to live and work in our nation's beautiful capital city. They endeavor to stay involved in the community's cultural, political and philanthropic discourse. Most importantly, however, they serve at the pleasure of their dachshund, Ella Louise.

Jack Darnell

Jack Darnell joined DMSAS at the end of January 2022. He completed the 5-year program at the University of Notre Dame to earn his Bachelor of Architecture degree in the spring of 2021. While at Notre Dame, Jack discovered an intense interest in traditional building and theater design, as well as specific passions for Palladian and Baroque architecture. His 5th-year thesis, "New Trinity Theatre," pulled these strands together in a proposal for a new musical theater building in the heart of Dublin, Ireland. It was this dream of designing beautiful performing arts venues which first led Jack to DMSAS. Before coming to the firm, Jack had the pleasure of gaining crucial Revit and woodworking experience at Brownsmith Studios in Bloomington, Indiana, nearby his hometown of Ellettsville. Beyond architecture, Jack is a massive music nerd and a multi-instrumentalist. He intends someday to design and build his own electric guitar. Jack also loves to travel, especially with friends and family.

Jeffrey Loman

Jeffrey Loman is an Associate at David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. and has been with the firm since 1988. Born and raised in France, he attended Architecture School in Bordeaux where he was awarded the Grand Prix d'Architecture de L'Academie des Beaux-Arts, formally referred to as the Grand Prix de Rome. Jeffrey has contributed his design acumen to many of the institutional, sports, and arts facilities the firm has worked on throughout his time at DMSAS. In addition to his role as a designer, Jeffrey also creates the in-house, handcrafted architectural drawings and watercolor vignettes for the firm. He regularly holds workshop sessions on architectural expression for staff architects and university programs. Away from the watercolors, Jeffrey shares his passion for the arts with his wife Florence, also a French-born architect. An avid and competitive long distance swimmer, he regularly competes in the pools, lakes, and rivers around the D.C. area. Jeffrey represents the state of Maryland for the National Senior Olympics.

Joe Rapazzo

Joe Rapazzo is a Senior Associate at David M. Schwarz Architects and works as a senior designer. Joe is a registered architect in the District of Columbia. He has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and a BA from Brooklyn College, CUNY. In 1987, Joe started as a summer intern at DMSAS and has worked at the firm for all but five years of his career. He has participated in numerous projects at DMSAS both large and small, from Nancy Lee & Perry R. Bass Performance Hall to private residences as well as Dickies Arena and four of the residential colleges at Vanderbilt University. As an undergraduate Art major at Brooklyn College, Joe studied drawing and anatomy extensively as well as photography. To this day he continues to paint and sketch regularly. Much of his work examines people inhabiting the built environment with an eye for underlying geometries and the play of light. The overlap of these interests with architecture led to Joe's choice of a career.

Jon Zubiller

Jon Zubiller is an Associate at David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. and has been with the firm since 2001. Jon is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he earned bachelor degrees in both Architecture and Civil & Environmental Engineering. Jon received his LEED accreditation in 2004 and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP). A consistent contributor to much of the firm's master planning work, Jon is dedicated to creating great urban places. He also takes great pleasure in living and playing in them; particularly when it includes his wife, his young daughter, or a baseball diamond. Jon continues to play center field in a local wood bat league and vows to hang up the spikes only after he can no longer steal a base, or he is signed by an MLB team, whichever comes first. Between games, Jon enjoys time spent with his wife and daughter in their 100 year old home, planning renovations that he swears he'll do someday.

Joshua Arcurio

Joshua Arcurio is an Associate and the Design Technology Administrator at David M. Schwarz Architects. Joshua received a Bachelor of Architecture and Economics Minor from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and is a longtime member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) and the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU). Josh's recent project experience at DMSAS has focused on transit-oriented, mixed-use planning and architecture projects like Chevy Chase Lake and Riverside Station. A former college radio DJ, he is well-suited for his current role as Project Architect on an 8,000-seat outdoor amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, he spent nearly a decade working under TeĆ³filo Victoria, Seaside's first Town Architect, Maria de la Guardia, and Ernesto Buch on projects featured in several publications, including the books Traditional Architecture: Timeless Building for the Twenty-First Century, Classical Interiors: Historical and Contemporary, and New Palladians, and the ICAA's Classicist journal. Joshua sees architecture as a process, a civic contribution, and a collaborative art that can pursue beauty and the sublime, and represent the values and aspirations of a community. In addition, Josh has a keen interest and expertise in digital technology implementation, maintenance, and training, furthering the office's ability to create architecture that, in the words of Alberti, "gives comfort and the greatest pleasure to [hu]mankind, to individual and community alike". Outside the office, he enjoys meditation, crossword puzzles, and researching the intersection of sociological and economic conditions with the built environment in his hometown of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Lucas Parker

Lucas Parker joined DMSAS in 2022 shortly after graduating from the Catholic University of America, where he earned degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering. Since building Legos and devising his own designs for yachts and cruise ships as a kid, Lucas gradually grew in his passion for architecture as a career. In the professional world, Lucas is particularly interested in high-end, single-family residence design but hopes to one day have the opportunity to work on a new yacht concept. Having been born and raised in Southern California, Lucas has thoroughly enjoyed the rich supply of traditional architecture that the East Coast has to offer. In his free time, Lucas enjoys reading, writing, sketching and keeping up with his six siblings back home.

Luke Molinelli

Luke Molinelli joined DMSAS in 2022 after graduating with a Bachelor's of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. Originally from New York, he grew up just outside of the city and has enjoyed exploring the architecture of Manhattan with his family since he was a kid. Luke attended high school in the city and had the opportunity of running in Central Park every day with the cross country and track team. In addition to architecture, Luke enjoys drawing and sketching, designing sports logos and flags, and writing music on guitar and bass guitar. He combined his love for architecture and music in his thesis project - a proposal for a concert hall and an outdoor stage in Hastings-on-Hudson New York, located along the Hudson River. Luke is excited by the variety of projects DMSAS designs, and to explore everything the city of Washington, D.C. has to offer.

Mark Elliott

Mark Elliott is an Associate and Project Manager at David M. Schwarz Architects. Prior to joining DMSAS, Mark graduated from the University of Maryland where he developed a love of history and traditional urbanism that led him to apply for and receive the David M. Schwarz Travel Fellowship. Mark enjoys opportunities to share his passion for architecture with students, which he has done as a studio instructor at The Catholic University of America and as a guest juror at the University of Maryland and the University of Notre Dame. As a life-long trumpet player, Mark has loved combining that background with architectural practice as the project manager for the firm's new music building at Longwood University. He has also worked on several multifamily projects and the West End Residential Colleges at Vanderbilt University. On the weekends, you may find him on the tennis court hitting with fellow Associate Jeffrey Loman.

Markus Hongmanivanh

Markus joined DMSAS in November 2019 and as a long-time Maryland resident, Markus began his education at Montgomery College before transferring to Morgan State University to earn his Bachelors of Science in Architecture. Following undergrad, Markus attended Northeastern University to earn his Master of Architecture degree. In 2016, Markus started his architectural career designing custom single family homes for 3.5 years before entering into the commercial world. Markus quickly adapted the DMSAS design philosophy in his work for the Cook Children's Medical Center Dodson Expansion project, specifically the whimsical interior of the Communicating Space. He helped on a private residential project in Santa Monica, apartment buildings in Newton, MA, and is working on interior finishes for apartment units in Bethesda, MD. Out of the office, Markus has made a name for himself as MVP for our 2020 DMSAS Skeeball League. He also enjoys learning and caring for his plants, traveling, testing out new recipes and watching Kdramas with a glass of red wine or two.

Maureen McKeron

Maureen McKeron joined DMSAS in 2019 after several years of working as an accessibility consultant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Catholic University of America and Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland. Since joining the DMSAS team, Maureen has worked primarily on the Vanderbilt Residential Colleges project and a multi-family residential project in Riverside, MA. She was drawn to architecture as a profession as it requires creativity and problem-solving while also having a direct impact on people's lives. In her free time, Maureen enjoys spending time outdoors and cheering on her hometown Philadelphia sports teams.

Maya Ackerman

Maya Ackerman joined David M. Schwarz Architects in 2022. Originally from Maryland, Maya moved to DC to earn her Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in Sustainability from The Catholic University of America. Originally studying the studio arts, Maya found a passion for Architecture during a first-year intro course to Architecture. Since joining the DMSAS team, Maya has worked on the Hampden House project in Bethesda, MD. In her free time, Maya enjoys gardening, caring for her cats, hitting up some good KBBQ, and playing a competitive game of Egyptian-Rat-Screw.

Maytham Alghaffari

Maytham joined DMSAS in 2019. He holds a 5-years bachelor's degree in architecture from German Jordanian University. Before joining DMSAS, Maytham gained experience in architectural design, BIM technology, and architectural lighting design from Jordan, Germany, and the US. Since joining our team, Maytham has been serving as a job captain for several projects in Fort Worth, Texas, including Dodson Expansion and 8th and Penn Garage at Cook Children's Medical Center. Outside the office, Maytham enjoys reading, watching documentaries, and working out when in the mood! Maytham's first experience with architecture came when he was around 9 years old and he came across an architectural magazine and started contemplating an axonometric view of a single-family house. He was able to understand the space and visualized living in the beautifully drawn house. From that time on, he knew exactly what he wanted to be when he grew up!

Michael Swartz

Michael Swartz is a Principal with David M. Schwarz Architects (DMSAS). He has been with the firm since 1982 and focuses on much of the firm's planning and mixed-use work along with civic and institutional projects. Some of his notable planning projects include master planning for downtown Fort Worth, Southlake Town Square, Duke Central Campus masterplan, West Village in Dallas and Alpharetta, Georgia's City Center masterplan. Mr. Swartz's completed building projects include: Yale University Class of 1954 Environmental Science Center, the Tarrant County Family Law Center in Fort Worth, TX, Ed Smith Stadium and Spring Training Complex in Sarasota, FL (for the Baltimore Orioles), Alpharetta City Hall, and The Woodley and 13|U apartment buildings in Washington, DC. His professional memberships include The Congress for New Urbanism, the Urban Land Institute, and American Institute of Architects. Mr. Swartz is also a LEED accredited professional. On numerous occasions he has been a presenter and panel participant for the Urban Land Institute's Mixed-Use conferences. Mr. Swartz also volunteers as a mentor for ULI's Young Leaders Group and has served as a visiting critic at the University of Maryland and the University of Miami. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. Michael is a bit of a workaholic, but when he does manage to put his pencil down he can be found renovating his house (the one project he has managed that continues to elude all schedules), participating in volunteer activities in the community, doing pro-bono architecture for all his friends, or out and about with sketch pad and camera documenting the good, the bad and the ugly of the man-made world. Steve Horwitz

Steve Horwitz is an Associate and Project Manager with David M. Schwarz Architects. Growing up in central New Jersey, Steve's love for architecture began while visiting and experiencing the big cities of New York City and Philadelphia often as a child. He joined the firm one year after graduating from Temple University with a Bachelor of Architecture. Steve was an integral member of the design team for The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, contributing from the beginning of Conceptual Design in 2006 through the project's completion in 2012. Many of Steve's projects are located in Fort Worth, TX and he has served as Project Manager on a few of the firm's important civic and hospitality projects including Sundance Square, Dickies Arena, and currently, new additions to Cook Children's Medical Center. In his free time, Steve enjoys traveling around the world and learning about different cultures, trying new food, and studying different types of architecture. In 2019, Steve hiked to the top of Kilimanjaro and is always looking for a good hike local to Washington, DC, or a National Park around the United States.

Steve Knight is a Principal with David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. Originally from Massachusetts and raised in North Carolina, Steve settled in-between after receiving his Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University in 1997, the same year he joined DMSAS. While well versed on a variety of project types, Steve primarily focuses on the firm's performing arts venue projects. He served as Project Architect for the design of Schermerhorn Symphony Center, The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts, the Gaillard Center, and most recently an 8,000-seat amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama. He is currently leading the office's team on the design of a neighborhood center for Chevy Chase Lake in Maryland and the multi-phase Residential College project at Vanderbilt University. Outside of the office, Steve is active in preservation advocacy, serving as President of the Art Deco Society of Washington and on the board of the International Coalition of Art Deco Societies. Steve lives with his wife Karen in a restored bungalow in Silver Spring, Maryland. Steve's favorite things include two-tone wing tips, Erroll Garner's music, and rendered duck fat.

Ted Houseknecht

Ted Houseknecht is an Associate at David M. Schwarz Architects and has been with the firm since 1991. Ted received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Maryland in 1986 and his Master of Architecture from Arizona State University in 1988. Ted is LEED accredited and a registered architect in Texas, Massachusetts, Utah, Washington, D.C. and Ontario, Canada. A member of both NCARB and the AIA, Ted is also actively involved with the Washington Building Congress, where has served as a Juror for their annual Craftsmanship Awards program. With a passion for the decorative arts, industrial design and furniture, Ted has been involved with much of the firm's residential design work. These passions abound outside of the office as well, as Ted is a collector of many things, valuable and not, from books and prints to tools and rum. Tommy Vince

Tommy Vince is a project designer at David M. Schwarz Architects in Washington, DC, and has been with the firm since 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and a Master of Architecture with a concentration in Classical Architecture and Urbanism from The Catholic University of America. Tommy received the David M. Schwarz Travel Fellowship while in graduate school, where he studied the European Public Square in Italy, France and England. He received the 1st place Graduate Thesis Award at CUA for his project based on this fellowship. Tommy's work has been featured in the student portfolio of The Classicist No. 16 and 17. He was fortunate to have received the Mark Ferguson Scholarship and the Christopher H. Browne Scholarship to travel and study with the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) in New York City, Williamsburg, VA, and Rome, Italy. Tommy serves as a co-chairman of The L'Enfant's, which is the emerging professional's group of the Washington Mid Atlantic Chapter of the ICAA, as well as a board member for the WMA Chapter. Tommy has taught architectural courses at CUA's School of Architecture and Planning and with the ICAA. Tommy has worked on a variety of projects in the office including Vanderbilt University's Rothschild College, Longwood University Music School, St. Charles Catholic Church, and a mixed-use residential project in Newton, Massachusetts. Outside of the office Tommy enjoys sketching, reading with his book club, kickboxing, and traveling with his family. Tommy lives with his wife, Morgan, and their Pembroke Corgi, Dorothy in Maryland. They are expecting their first child in late summer.

Zara Naser

Zara was born and raised in Iran and lived there until her early thirties; she immigrated to the US with her husband to start a new life. Here Zara was able to fulfill her dream of becoming an architect. Zara attended Montgomery College and transferred to Morgan State University were she received her bachelor's degree. Her passion for history and historic buildings inspired her to pursue a master's degree in architecture and historic preservation from the University of Maryland. Zara has also followed her passion for historic preservation and was appointed to the Montgomery County Historic Preservation Commission to serve the community. Zara currently resides in Silver Spring Maryland and enjoys cooking, hiking, and playing traditional Iranian instruments. She also loves woodworking and designing and building furniture, and other decorative pieces.
