All ESS staff are volunteers who devote their time and service without receiving any pay. The photo above shows only some of our staff... Our Programs - Since 1988, ESS has planned and coordinated a series of programs under the general framework of the Support Education in Rural China (SERC) Program Series. The Program series focuses on three major themes -- providing readng and informational material to rural schools; improving the quality of teaching and learning in rural schools; and providing financial assistance to rural students. Program activities have evolved over the past decades, adapting to the changing needs of education in rural China... Our Staff - All ESS staff in China and the US are volunteers who have devoted their time and service to the SERC Program without receiving any pay. They are mostly professionals and experienced educators. The effective implementation of the projects is their only reward.
