ASU FIDM builds on the legacy of Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), founded in 1969 by Toni Hohberg, and on ASU's expertise and innovation around fashion and the creative industries to provide the best education and opportunities for students... ASU FIDM offers a Bachelor of Arts in fashion, three associate degrees, and a minor, all designed to prepare students for a variety of careers in the fast-evolving fashion industry. With hands-on courses emphasizing design, technical skills, business management, and sustainability, students can specialize in areas such as fashion design, apparel technical design, fashion business management, or fashion studies-culminating in a capstone project that sets them up for success in the professional world... ASU FIDM operates in downtown Phoenix at Fusion on First and in downtown Los Angeles at the ASU California Center Grand in the heart of the LA Fashion District.
