When we moved to Johnstown in the early fall of 1971, we had no intention of starting a Christian bookstore at that time. As other doors closed, we became more drawn to this idea. I had sold Bible books door-to-door for the Southwestern company the two previous summers, and had worked for six months at Christian Books in Annapolis, Maryland just prior to starting seminary.
