History of Larry Fritsch Cards ... Larry Fritsch Cards, LLC came into being on May 1, 1970 when Larry Fritsch (who had been collecting baseball cards since 1948) became the first person in the world to sell cards full-time. He began working out of his home in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, but with more cards being purchased than being sold, he soon ran out of space and within three years built a new 1,800 square foot facility to house his rapidly growing business. Two years later an addition was required that more than doubled the size of the original building. As the sports card hobby gained popularity Larry Fritsch Cards, LLC continued to grow. During those early years Larry became the first collector/dealer to grade cards, and he was also the first to develop superstar cards. In 1979 Larry's son Jeff, who had worked for his father for years while growing up, joined the company full time.
