- Nurse Assisting Program Consultant
I started taking nursing classes at the age of 17 at Spartanburg General Hospital's School of Nursing. I have work experiences at Woodruff Hospital, Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens, Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Easley, and at National HealthCare Corp in Anderson. In the late 80's, I decided to retire but it didn't last long. I went back to work at a local nursing home, and then joined Forrest College. I currently serve as the program coordinator for the Nursing Assistant Program and have been with the College for at least 15 years.
I am originally from the Chesterfield/Patrick, SC area. I graduated from Coker College with a BA in Psychology and minor in Communications in 2008 and received my MLIS from the University of South Carolina in 2012. I teach Keyboarding, and create the college's newsletter. One of our goals at Forrest College is to assist students in taking steps to where they want to go by helping them along the way.

I am a Registered Nurse, with 20+ years' experience. I graduated from North Olmsted High School, Ohio, and have a love for nursing. I attended and graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, and continued my education, graduating from Concordia University with a Master's in Education. I am a certified Registered Nurse, have a teaching certification, am a Certified Nurse Assisting Instructor, BLS, and Professional Rescuer Instructor. I teach courses in the FC Allied Health Program, as well as the Nurse Assisting Program. I have a passion for nursing, teaching and teaching others and am excited for the opportunity to teach at Forrest College and help others in a fulfilling career in the medical field.

Charley Holden holds a B.S in Sociology from Clemson University and a Master of Science in Management from Southern Wesleyan University. I have worked as a Probation and Parole Agent for the SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services for 13 years. I am presently the Director/Counselor of the SC ACCELERATE Adult Postsecondary Transition Center at Tri-County Technical College.
Debra Evett is a Forrest College graduate with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Business Administration specializing in Early Childhood Development. She has worked in the child care field for the last 15 years and has been with Forrest College for over ten years. She has also worked with Share/Head Start and is currently the Youth President for her church.
My name is Janie Turmon, and I will likely be the first individual that you'll see and meet when you walk through our front doors. I'll greet you and introduce you to Forrest College, the place where I first started my studies as a work study student while I was pursuing my Associate Degree in Business Administration. I graduated with my degree in 1999 and have been with the College ever since, working in admissions and helping individuals who are interested in improving their lives better understand the benefits that taking their studies at Forrest College will bring to themselves. My years of association with Forrest College have been positive. I am very grateful to be a part of an educational institution that is a pillar to the community as well as a place where individuals can come to make a big difference in their lives.

I graduated from TL Hanna High School in 1990 and attended Anderson University, TriCounty Technical College and Greenville Technical College, leading to numerous certifications in Computer Information Technology (IT). I have been in the IT field for over 17 years, working in the areas of hardware/software, operating systems, project management, ERP, and other related areas. I am certified CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, InfoSec, Certified Computer Forensics Examiner (CCFE) and other related areas. I work full time in the IT field and am a part-time Adjunct Instructor with Forrest College teaching courses in IT Security, Networking, Computer Forensics, IT Support. I am married and reside in Anderson, SC. I am very happy to be able to work with Forrest College, to share my knowledge, experiences and to guide the students in their chosen career path in Information Technology.
I was born in Toledo, OH, and grew up in NJ. I attended college at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, where I majored in Mathematics. I then enlisted in the Navy and served primarily in the Pacific, with two short stints on the Atlantic coast. I retired in 1993 and have worked in computer services ever since. I'm A+ Certified Repair Technician and it is my responsibility to see that the College computer and related equipment stays up and running. FC Comp is part of the Forrest College family and we offer Computer Training, Service, and Sales to our student body as well as to the Community at large. If you are studying computer repair or computer networking, you'll likely spend time at FCComp gaining hands-on experience with me.

I am a 2003 graduate of Pendleton High School, and obtained a Diploma in Phlebotomy from Greenville Technical College in 2005 and an Associate Degree in Liberal Studies from Spartanburg Methodist College. I made the decision to concentrate in the medical field and attended Forrest College, graduating in 2009 with an Associate in Science Degree in Medical Assisting. I have been employed as a Certified Medical Assistant since for 10 years. In addition to being a Certified Medical Assistant, I am a certified in First-Aid, CPR/AED. I am an Adjunct Instructor in Allied Health at FC, teaching courses in Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, and Medical Lab Techniques. I have a passion to teach and to guide others in their career path, which I find challenging, but very rewarding.

Hello, my name is Joe Chester and I am the Coordinator of the Business Administration Program. I graduated from Voorhees College in May 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. I continued my education and received my Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship in August 2012 from Ashford University. I then pursued and earned my Masters of Education in May 2010 from Grand Canyon University. I have been in education for over fifteen years. I enjoy working with and helping every student strive to achieve his or her greatest potential and reach their personal and professional goals. I have a Masters in Information Technology at American Intercontinental University, a Bachelors in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia, and am working on my EdS at Liberty University. I have been an educator in secondary education and have experience in student management for over 10 years. I work closely with college administrators and Program Advisory Committee members in the areas of occupational education development pertaining to the I.T. program.

I am married and have three daughters. My husband and I enjoy our farms and family life. We live in Laurens where our family has small business and I commute to Anderson weekly to work with our students and work from home the remainder of the week. My hobby is gardening and I especially like growing flowers. I have worked with Forrest College since 1997 where I began as a computer lab assistant to Charles Palmer. I have worked in the Financial Aid and Business Office since 1999. I love my work in the Business Office because everyday is a new challenge. I believe in Forrest College, we provide students with a quality education and I am proud to be a member of the Forrest College Team.
I assist in the Criminal Justice Program here at FC. I also teach some of the classes for that program. I graduated from Anderson University with a Masters in Criminal Justice degree in 2012. In addition to teaching here I work for the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. Students who enroll in the Criminal Justice Program may seek initial employment or career advancement opportunities in police, sheriff's, or other law enforcement offices; jails or prisons as detention, correctional, or probation officers; corporate security; public safety; private investigation; or insurance investigation.

I have practiced in the SC Family Court system since 2008 and has appeared in over 1,000 court hearings and trials to date in courts in the upstate of South Carolina. My experiences include defending parents in Termination of Parental Rights actions and had appeared as a presented in numerous South Carolina Children's Law Center's Continuing Legal Education program and serves as a private Guardian ad Litem in child custody actions. I am a published author in "A Federal Perspective: The Second Amendment as a Fundamental Aspect of Liberty" and I am actively involved with college students and coaches regarding college recruitment and I am a negotiator for student employment-related agreements with the NCAA.
I received my undergraduate degree from Anderson University in 2016, and completed my Masters in Library Information Studies at University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2019. Currently I am a candidate for a PhD in I.T. at University of the Cumberlands. At Forrest College I serve as the Library Information Services Coordinator and supervise the GED program. I have several years of experience in the business world where I work in telecommunications, and I enjoy helping others see their goals come to fruition. E-mail me if I can be of assistance.
