GALAX PARKS & RECREATION

The Galax Recreation Center provides all of your favorite programs, classes, events, along with many new an exciting programs for the upcoming year. As we move into 2024 we will continue to add more new programs and activities for all of our citizens to enjoy. The current programs and activities that are being offered are senior programs, aquatic exercises classes, youth sports, cardio and weight rooms, indoor walking track, swim lessons, water aerobic classes, yoga, senior exercise classes, open gym. A quick reminder of our outdoor facilities that are available include the walking track at Mt. View and Felts Park, tennis courts, Galax Municipal Golf Course, skate park, picnic shelters, and playgrounds... The Galax Recreation Center offers several parks and a golf course in Galax... If you are wanting to have your child in our Summer Activity Program we only have a couple more spaces left. We offer on a first come first serve basis with registration after that we have a waiting list..
