Captain East began his career in 1982 in the Uniform Patrol division and was promoted to master deputy in 1985. In 1988, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and in 1999, he achieved the rank of lieutenant in Uniform Patrol. In 2002, he was assigned as Director of Training for the Sheriff's Office. He has served on the Sheriff's Office Honor Guard, Underwater Search and Recovery Team (diver), S.W.A.T. Team, Sheriff's Office Air Support Unit, and the Field Training Program Coordinator. In 2011, he was promoted to the rank of captain and assumed responsibility as commander of Uniform Patrol. He was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division in 2017, and then to the Office of Professional Standards in 2020. In 2023 he was promoted to Major and oversees Uniform Patrol and Communications.
Major Michael D. Moore started his law enforcement career in 1991 at Anderson City PD as a patrolman. In 1993 he moved to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office and served as Deputy, Corporal, and Sergeant. In 1997 he came to work for the Sheriff in Greenville County. At GCSO he served as a Deputy, Master Deputy, Sergeant and Lieutenant in Uniform Patrol, Directed Patrol and Traffic. In 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Major. Major Moore currently oversees the Warrant Services Division, Specialized Investigations Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and the Selective Enforcement Division.
Major Ty Miller began serving Greenville County as a law enforcement officer in 1999. Beginning her career in the Uniform Patrol Division of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, Major Miller immediately focused on the area of crimes against children. Since then, Major Miller has dedicated most of her career to protecting and serving the most innocent citizens of the Greenville community in her roles as an investigator of child sexual assaults and as a board member for the Julie Valentine Center in Greenville.
In 2012, Ty Miller was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and initiated collaboration with the Greenville County School District to develop and implement the "Zone Patrol Program," to protect our elementary school children in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shooting. The following year, she was promoted to Lieutenant of the Public Information Office at the GCSO. In 2017, she returned to restructure the Specialized Investigations Division and served until her promotion to Major over the Administration.
Major Miller currently oversees the following divisions: Administration Division, Wellness Services Division, Community Services Division, Judicial Serves Division and School Enforcement Divisions.

Chief Deputy Marcus Davenport's distinguished career in Law Enforcement began in 1995 when he became a Uniform Patrol Deputy with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office. Chief Deputy Davenport is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he received degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He has proudly served 26 years with the Sheriff's Office and as the Chief Deputy since 2017. Chief Deputy Davenport has also held the positions of Master Deputy, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and Major while serving in Greenville County Sheriff's Office.
In addition to his current duties as Chief Deputy, he oversees the Office of the Sheriff and is also the Chief Financial Officer for the Sheriff's Office. The Office of the Sheriff focuses on Community Outreach and Engagement.
Outside of the Sheriff's Office, Chief Deputy Davenport enjoys volunteering for the Greenville Homeless Alliance and serves on the Inaugural Advisory Council at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Greenville.
