GEFD is a volunteer-owned and -operated station with joint staffing with Fire Fighters and EMTs from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, serving the suburbs northwest of Washington, DC... Our routine obligations exceed what Montgomery County covers, so we spend tens of thousands of dollars every year to pay bills.
