served on Village Council for 11 years before being elected to lead the village as Mayor in 2016 and won re-election for a third term in 2023. Mayor Billings is extremely active in the community.
The Mayor is the chief conservator of peace within the Village of Hartville. Mayor Billings is responsible for the general management of the village and for seeing that all laws and ordinances are enforced.
The Mayor appoints all boards and commissions. Mayor Billings chairs the council meetings and is expected to lead the council to resolution even on difficult issues.
