HEART OF THE ROCKIES - Key Persons

Melissa St. Clair

Melissa St. Clair has served our congregation since January 2013. She delights in the bike lanes, running paths, hiking trails, and the open-minded people in Fort Collins and at Heart of the Rockies Christian Church. Melissa was ordained in 2008 at St. John's United Church of Christ in south central Pennsylvania, where her extended family still resides. She was granted ordained ministerial partner standing with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in October 2008. Her Master of Divinity is from Eden Theological Seminary (St. Louis, MO). Melissa serves as Moderator-Elect for the Central Rocky Mountain Region and is the chair of the Board of Stewards for the Center for Faith and Giving. She is an alumna of the Bethany Fellows and a graduate of Leadership Northern Colorado. She currently serves on the Leadership Team of the Ecumenical Circle of the Bethany Fellows. When they're not camping in the mountains, Melissa and her husband, Ben, reside in the home of their cat and two pups-all rescues and one from each place they've lived over the years.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and dogs, being outdoors, and volunteering at various local organizations.

Wendy Davidson

Wendy Davidson is the most recent addition to the staff at Heart of the Rockies. The congregation's commitment to love and justice drew her to this place - particularly through their commitment to being Open and Affirming and their work to provide affordable and attainable housing through Heartside Hill. She loves hiking and camping and backpacking, books (including audiobooks), and a good old session of Dungeons and Dragons. Originally from Texas, she is quickly making her home in Fort Collins, Colorado (along with her cat, Felix) - and loving every second of it. The people, the weather, the mountains - they all make this place easy to love. Her Master of Divinity is from Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Texas (following an undergraduate degree in Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin; a logical progression).
