Incarnate Word Academy (IWA) is a private, all-girls Catholic college preparatory school in the heart of downtown Houston... In 1873, a group of Incarnate Word Sisters established an all-girls, Catholic high school in downtown Houston on the corner of Crawford and Capitol Street. Nearly 150 years later, the Academy they founded continues to prepare hundreds of young women for success in college and beyond.
