Allison R. Jacobs

Allison has been with the Jacobs & Jacobs team since 2013 following her graduation with honors from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She also earned a Certificate of Concentration with honors in Health Law. She has been recognized as one of the "Rising Stars," "New Leaders in the Law," and "Women in Business," in statewide rankings by Super Lawyers, the Connecticut Law Tribune, and New Haven Biz Magazine. Allison began her legal experience with an undergraduate internship at the New York State Division of Human Rights, working with victims of discrimination. She continued her public interest work with an internship at New Haven Legal Assistance, working in the Child and Youth Advocacy Project with children who were victims of abuse and neglect. Before joining Jacobs & Jacobs, Allison served as a Temporary Assistant Clerk in Family Matters at the Superior Court in New Haven for the Honorable James G. Kenefick, Jr. Allison's unique experiences ranging from visual arts and marketing, public service law, family law, and health and injury law, have made her a passionate, well-rounded, and creative advocate. Bruce D. Jacobs

Bruce has practiced personal injury law in New Haven for more than 30 years. He has represented thousands of people who were injured in automobile accidents, through medical malpractice, or as a result of an unsafe condition or product. Many of Bruce's clients are referred by other lawyers who know the success Bruce has had in trying and settling major cases. He is especially proud of the fact that he has had a number of clients referred to him by judges, doctors who have testified in his cases, and people who have sat as jurors on a case. Many clients are referred by former clients who appreciate the hard work Bruce has done on their behalf and the results he has obtained. Jacobs & Jacobs was founded on the philosophy that every client is important. That philosophy has translated into successful results, not just in an outstanding record of verdicts and settlements, but in terms of satisfied clients who feel that Jacobs & Jacobs fights on their behalf to obtain the compensation they deserve. Bruce is a member of the New Haven Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, where he is a member of the Medical Malpractice Committee. Bruce served as president of the Greater New Haven JCC, where he was the first person to hold that position twice. He is a former president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and former member of the Committee of Trustees at the Hopkins School in New Haven.

Richard L. Jacobs

Richard Jacobs is of counsel to Jacobs & Jacobs, and he maintains an active practice at the firm. Richard joined his father, Israel Jacobs, and two brothers in the law firm of Jacobs, Jacobs & Jacobs in 1957. From 1967 to 2011, Richard was a partner in successor law firms. His career in the law has been devoted to trial work and the appeals that stem from it. He practices in the fields of personal injury, worker's compensation, professional malpractice, and criminal law. Stanley A. Jacobs is of counsel to Jacobs & Jacobs. He began practicing law in 1950 with Jacobs, Jacobs & Jacobs. In 1982, Stanley and his son Bruce founded Jacobs & Jacobs to focus solely on the representation of injured people. Stanley and Bruce created a family firm with an atmosphere in which clients of all backgrounds would feel comfortable and valued.
