Background
Mr. Hutchison was born and raised in rural Farmington, MO. He attended a local church school for elementary until it closed, was home schooled for a few years, then attended and graduated from Sunnydale Adventist Academy.
He became interested in music during high school and started composing during his senior year. After starting at Union College in civil engineering, Mr. Hutchison switched to music education after one semester, then spent the following year abroad in Spain earning a Spanish major.
After finishing his schooling in December 2011, Mr. Hutchison was invited to fill in at Midland during Mrs. Bruette's maternity leave. He says "I loved Midland and there was little consideration to be done when I was offered the full time position!"
