MFRL

Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library (MFRL) is an agency of Virginia government as authorized by Section 42.1-34 of the Code of Virginia. Established through action of the Boards of Supervisors of Montgomery County and Floyd County, Virginia, the library is governed by a nine-member library Board of Trustees, with seven members from Montgomery County and two members from Floyd County. Trustees are appointed by vote of the Board of Supervisors for each county. The Board of Trustees has adopted by-laws, rules, and regulations for their own guidelines and for government of the regional library system as required by the original agreement between the two counties... The support of the community is vital for funding programming, outreach, and other needs. The MFRL Foundation and the Friends of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library promote and support the library's goals and operations, and provide opportunity for each community member to join in.
