In February 1950, it was announced to 78 men and women that Archbishop Moses E. Kiley had approved the organization of a new parish that would encompass an area bound by W. Tower Avenue to the North, West Mill Road to the South, Green Bay Avenue to the East and 60th Street to the West. The people were to develop the parish facilities on a ten acre tract of land owned by the Archdiocese on the Southeast corner of N 41st St. and Good Hope Rd in the town of Granville. Father Joseph Fischer was appointed Spiritual Leader and then first pastor as the parish was incorporated on April 2, 1952... For over sixty years, Our Lady of Good Hope has served the needs of the people of Northeast Milwaukee, Brown Deer and Glendale.
