Also known as the 20th century Audubon, John Ruthven was an artist with the rare ability to combine visual excitement, creative design, and authentic detail. John's original paintings and limited-edition prints can be found all over the world, including the White House, Presidential Palace in the Philippines, and The Smithsonian, while commissions from non-profit organizations have helped raise millions of dollars for their various projects. John is one of the most celebrated and decorated wildlife artists in history. A few of his most notable recognitions include the National Medal of Arts, where he was the first wildlife artist recipient, and the GCA Eloise Payne Luquer Medal for his passionate advocacy as a naturalist and gifted artistry as a painter.
