Carlton Winslett

Carlton began working with Georgia Power in 1974 as a Security Officer. Quickly moving through the ranks, he was Security Training Specialist for Georgia Power Company Corporate Atlanta by 1978. In the mid 80's he advanced to the Nuclear world as Senior Security Training Specialist and Course Manager for Nuclear Security Training at Georgia Power Company Plant E.I. Hatch. He evolved to Rescue Training Coordinator, Confined Space / High Angle Rescue with Southern Nuclear handling all fire, security and rescue training for personnel at Plant Hatch. His background also includes Public Safety as Rescue Chief and Battalion Chief for Toombs County Emergency Management and Fire. He has served as a Contract Instructor for both Georgia Fire Academy and Georgia Emergency Management Agency for many years. Having a passion for security and safety, he is an asset to the organization and has been part of RIGHT from our inception. Carlton brings a wealth of knowledge from the industrial world and has served his community for many years providing insight and guidance to assure the safety of all First Responders.

Darrell E. Spradley - President

Darrell joined the fire service, as a Firefighter in 1985, in Crisp County Georgia. He began his career in technical rescue in 1988 and began teaching technical rescue for the Fire Service as an Adjunct Instructor for the Georgia Fire Academy in 1990. Since that time Darrell has become one of the premier Instructors in the Southeast in the areas of Firefighting and Technical Rescue. Darrell holds National Professional Qualification (NPQ) as Fire Instructor III, Rope Rescue Technician, Confined Space Rescue Technician, Trench Rescue Technician, Structural Collapse Technician, Firefighter III, Emergency Apparatus Operator, Hazardous Materials A, and NPQ Evaluator. Darrell is retired from Griffin Fire Rescue, in Griffin Georgia where he served as Training Officer for 11 years. Darrell was instrumental in the formation and training of State of Georgia's GSAR (Georgia Search and Rescue) Teams and serves as a team leader and Training Committee Member for Central Georgia GSAR Task Force IV. Darrell has worked for many years during his professional Fire Service career as an independent contract Instructor / consultant for several State Agencies to include the Georgia Fire Academy, Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training and Georgia Emergency Management Agency as well as private organizations such as the Guardian Center and other private industry.

Donald "Donny" Mercer - VP

Donny began his Public Safety career with Macon Bibb County Fire Department in 1979. Early in his career Donny assumed the responsibility for Hazardous Materials response for the Macon/Bibb County Fire Department and has since earned the reputation as an expert in the field of hazardous materials. He began teaching for Georgia Fire Academy in 1984 as an Adjunct Contract Instructor. While serving as a Sergeant for Macon Bibb County, Donny was instrumental in developing the Department's Technical Rescue Program. After being transferred to the Training Division and promoted to Captain, Donny received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Columbia Southern University. He was later promoted to Battalion Chief and the position of Chief of Training for Macon Bibb County Fire Department serving also as the coordinator for Macon/Bibb's Technical Rescue and Hazardous Materials response. Donny was instrumental in the formation and training of State of Georgia's GSAR (Georgia Search and Rescue) Teams and serves as a team leader and Training Committee Member for Central Georgia GSAR Task Force IV. Donny maintained certifications as a Certified Law Enforcement Officer and Arson Investigator until his retirement from the Macon Bibb County Fire Department in 2014. He then assumed the role of Director of the Monroe County Emergency Services in Forsyth Georgia. After three years of serving Monroe County, he retired again and is now full time with RIGHT Training.

Eddie White

Eddie joined the fire service in 1972 as a volunteer with Conyers Fire Department. A year later he joined them as a full time employee. He immediately became certified as an EMT and then a CPR instructor. When technical rescue became popular in the early 80s Eddie immediately began the endeavor to become proficient in that field. He began instructing in Rope Rescue techniques in 1985. Today he continues to instruct rope rescue, confined space rescue, Rescue Systems, CPR/AED/FA, Fire Instructor 1, basic firefighting and other topics. Eddie retired from the Rockdale County Fire Department in 2007 but continues sharing what he has picked up over the years. Innumerable lives have been touched for many years during his professional Fire Service career as an independent contractor for the Georgia Fire Academy, Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training, Georgia Firefighters Association, Georgia Fire Chiefs Association, Georgia Association of EMS as well as various private organizations teaching both public fire departments and private industry.

Lex Hembree

Lex has over 30 years of experience and education in Industry. He has served in the Construction Industry, General Industry, Manufacturing, Nuclear, Petro-Chemical, Biotechnology and Semiconductor. He is an OSHA Instructor for 29 CFR 1910 & 29 CFR 1926. (10-hour & 30-Hour). His background includes International Commercial Engineering/Operations Support. (Bio-Manufacturing, Research & Design and Environmental Health & Safety), International Quality & Safety Cargo Operations (O'Hare International Airport), North America EH&S Management Support. (OSHA, DOT, Title V, RCRA), Industrial, Nuclear, Petro-Chemical, Bio-Tech, R&D, DOT, Aerospace. (Exelon, Argonne Labs, Sandia Labs), EH&S Management - Staff oversight, Pre/Post Outage Management Support. (Nuclear, Petro-Chemical, Construction and General Industry), Case Management, Workers Compensation, Regulatory Oversight. (OSHA, EPA, GEPD, Water, Waste Water, RCRA, Title V, Tier II, DOT), Management Oversight, Craft Management and Craft Experience.
