Dr. Jennifer Vick

Dr. Jennifer Vick grew up in Panama City, Florida. She earned an Associate's Degree in Pre-Veterinary Studies from Gulf Coast Community College before transferring to the University of Florida. She was one of the few candidates who, prior to graduating from college, won early admission into the Louisiana State College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon Graduating from veterinary school at LSU in 2007, Dr. Vick was accepted into a small animal internship at Florida Veterinary Specialist in Tampa. This experience allowed her to learn from many of the forty or more specialists in veterinary oncology, surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, cardiology and ophthalmology. Her areas of interest in practice include internal medicine, surgery and cardiology. Dr. Vick joined our practice in 2008. Outside of work, Dr. Vick enjoys reading, playing the piano, hiking, snowboarding and other outdoor activities. Her family includes a kitty named Mika.

Dr. Jim Svonavec

Dr. Jim graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Animal Science and obtained his D.V.M. from Ross University doing clinicals at Oklahoma State University and Guelph University, Ontario Canada in 1986. He has practiced in southwestern Pennsylvania as well as in the Shenandoah Valley. Dr. Jim joined this practice in 2015. His area of interest is internal medicine. Outside of work he enjoys gardening, hiking, and working around old farm equipment. Dr. Jim and his wife Lynn have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. They share their home with 2 dogs (Joe and Quincey) and 3 cats (Tiny, Arabella, and Batman).

Dr. Jody Moffett

Dr. Moffett lived here in Virginia, graduating from the College of William and Mary, before heading west and obtaining her veterinary degree from Colorado State University. She practiced as a veterinarian in Arizona for 20 years before deciding to come back east to be closer to family. Dr. Moffett's interests include exotic animal medicine (specifically rabbits, rodents and some reptiles) as well as dentistry and physical therapy. Outside of work she looks forward to exploring the woods with her dogs, biking, and watching cat videos.

Dr. Sarah Conner

Dr. Sarah Conner is Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital's Medical Director. Dr. Conner graduated with a BS from Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia and obtained her DVM degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. She joined the medical staff of Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital after graduating from veterinary school in 2003. Her professional interests are internal medicine and soft tissue surgery, interests which she has nurtured through practice and study. Dr. Conner's input on medical cases is valued by the entire veterinary staff. Her family includes 2 dogs (Indy and Aspen), 6 cats, and a senegal parrot named Peep. Her hobbies include fishing, hiking, kayaking, and biking.

Dr. Shelley Hoffman

Dr. Hoffman has practiced companion animal medicine since earning her DVM from The Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 1997. She also studied Chinese Acupuncture with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in Florida and Chinese Herbal Medicine with the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies of Australia. Dr. Hoffman enjoys offering her veterinary patients an integrative approach to health and healing. Along with alternative therapies such as acupuncture and herbal medicine, she has a particular interest in internal medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Hoffman enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have raised two boys and continue to raise their daughter. She also shares life with a small pack of dachshunds, a couple of cats, several guinea pigs, and even a pet jumping spider. Her hobbies include reading, meditation, yoga, learning to play the violin, playing backgammon, and walking. She also enjoys dabbling in painting and other art projects.
