SUPERIOR FINISHES - Key Persons
JP started in the coatings industry at age 13 working as a batch maker every summer during his education. He graduated from an Entrepreneurial program in 1994. His work at Superior Finishes Inc., began in the R&D Lab, moving to Sales and then finally to where he currently serves as VP Marketing. JP has a passion for working closely with our customers. He helps overcome coating and finishing challenges by improving project efficiency, cure times, product quality and cost efficiency.
Jacqueline began working for the Guertin family business as a pre-teen. Through her youth she served for many departments including the office, laboratory and purchasing. Upon completing her University Honors Degree, Jacqueline decided she wanted to take on the challenge of growing the company and is now serving as Technical Sales Rep. She believes Superior's dedication to research and development, specifically in the field of water-based coatings, is a much needed step towards a healthy future for the company and the planet.
Jamie started working in the coatings industry at the age of 12, and worked for the family business during her education. She graduated from Marketing Management in 1999. Through the years Jamie's work at Superior Finishes Inc. included ISO & Order Desk, batch making, Quality Control and the role of Scheduling Manager with the task of training shipper/receivers. She also went on the road for 10 years as Technical Sales Rep. Now, Jamie has moved into the role of Production Manager where she leads our Lean Manufacturing initiative and currently holds a Green Belt.
Jea started in the coatings industry at age 13, working as a batch maker every summer during his education. At age 18 he founded Excel Motor Sales, and being a natural entrepreneur and salesman, started a few more successful companies in various industries. He was instrumental in the start up of Superior Finishes Inc. and since then has ventured off to start his own company, Superior Finishes of America™. Currently Jea serves as President at Superior Finishes Inc., West Coast Motors and Superior Finishes of America™.
Lee Ann started with Superior Finishes Inc. in 1992 and was our very first employee. She has a background in accounting and brings plenty of insight to our continuous improvement philosophy. Lee Ann also holds a Black Belt in Lean Manufacturing.
Tony began working in the coatings industry in 1972. He started working for the Guertin family business as a Salesman, moving his way up to General Manager, and finally President where he served for 16 years. At that point, Tony decided to branch off and start a new family business. He built Superior Finishes Inc. from the ground up, basing the company on the same core principles he had learned so well. When asked what the favorite part of his job is he replied, "Seeing that the capabilities of a product we've developed for a customer are more than they expected. Also, my personal challenge is to remove the VOC's (volatile organic compounds) out of coatings."
