Martin O. Kyrk

MARTI O. KYRK was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, the eldest of two boys. He came to the United States in 1970 to study at the University of California at Los Angeles, with a major in Scandinavian Languages and a minor in Art. After earning his Bachelor's degree, Marti continued his studies in Architecture and Urban Planning, graduating from UCLA in 1979 with a Master's in Architecture. Throughout the 80's and 90's, Marti lived in Hollywood and worked as a designer in various Los Angeles architectural firms. During this time period, he also taught classes in Architecture, was involved in the downtown LA art scene, and nurtured his interest in painting. Marti worked for three years as Director of Exhibits for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. He then joined the SKY ART Team for the first Boulder Station Casino project in 1994. Up to the present, on a project basis, he has continued to work with SKY ART Karen Kristin as cloud painter, designer and director.

RICHARD L. SPRYNCZYNATYK

Job Titles:

RICHARD L. SPRYNCZYNATYK is an artist, musician and chef. His work as an artist can be found in many private collections, his published illustrations in several international magazines. He has also been featured on HGTV for interior design work. As a musician, his "blues" harmonica has graced many a musical format. He was distinguished in the restaurant business by not only creating his own special recipes, but by designing award winning menus, and serving many famous clients.

Tom Wolf

Tom Wolf has been both Project Manager and Paint Station Manager for SKY ART since 2010, including work in Japan and Mexico. During this period, he also worked as a Park Ranger at Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. Tom's first SKY ART project was for the Scantibodies Laboratory in Mexico, where he helped with seven separate sky ceilings while living for a month in Tecate. The two Japan projects in private residences that followed entailed four trips to Japan. These fed into his interest in gardening and landscape architecture, as he is the author of the Biography of Arthur Carhart, the first Forest Service landscape architect (University of Colorado Press, 2008). Dr. Wolf is the author of five books and many articles, mostly about natural resource conservation. For these works, he drew on his Master's degree in Forest Ecology from Colorado State University. Tom also has a Ph.D. in English & American Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. He has taught at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, Colorado College, and Colorado State University.
