ST. AGATHA PARISH - Key Persons
Deacon Dan assists at Masses, Baptismal Preparation, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, celebrates baptisms and also marriages. Deacon Dan is the key to our parishes Technology and Computers.
Deacon Kevin was ordained in 2013 and joined St. Agatha Parish in 2020 after completing his first assignment at another parish. He assists at Masses, and celebrates baptisms and marriages. If you hear him preach, you will likely hear him talking about his wife, Lisa, or one of his four children-Kevin, Connor, Brian or Meghan. Kevin is chair of the parish outreach committee and a member of both the parish council and finance committee.
Fr. John Starr succeeded Fr. Dolan as pastor in June of 1947. He took the initial steps in seeing that one day there would be a school built on parish grounds. In 1950, Monsignor Daniel Donovan succeeded Fr. Starr as pastor. He oversaw the building of the present school. His death came in March of 1955. Monsignor Ralph Gallagher was appointed pastor in March of 1955. The parish through the years had incurred a large debt. With his expertise the debt was cleared through profits realized from the sale of parish land, which was not being used.
Fr. Peter J. Casey was appointed pastor in January of 1998, and under his leadership, St. Agatha has continued its tradition of meeting the spiritual and educational needs of the people of Milton and Quincy. St. Agatha parish is also fortunate to have members from three religious communities serving here: The Sisters of St. Joseph, (CSJ), The Sisters of Charity of Halifax, (SCH), and the Sisters of Notre Dame deNamur, (SND).

Beth is a life-long member of St. Agatha Parish and an Alumna of St. Agatha School. As Director for grades 1-6, Beth is responsible for parent meetings and retreat opportunities for children in sacramental preparation for the Reconcilation and First Communion. Beth also coordinates the Vacation Bible School.

Eileen brings her years of experience as a graphic designer when working on the bulletin. She assists in parish communication, welcoming people as they call or come to the Rectory, and assists in maintaining records for the parish.

Helen is the Youth Minister for Grades 7-12 , EDGE Middle School Group, Confirmation Program, and the Life Teen High School Youth Group. She schedules retreat experiences and mission trips for teens such as the ASP (Appalachia Service Project) trip each summer.

Jean, a longtime member of St. Agatha Parish, brings her many years of experience at Saint John's Seminary to her position here as Administrative Assistant. Jean's responsibilities include: welcoming visitors, assisting parishoners in scheduling Masses, obtaining sacramental records and supporting the pastoral staff.

Jenn Caputo has been a parishioner of St. Agatha's for 20 years. After many years volunteering, she joined the staff in order to support the needs of the Faith Formation Office. Along with Beth Peterson, she helps in organizing Faith Formation classes and sacramental preparation for children in grades 1 st through 6 th. Apart from administrative duties, Jenn works closely with the Catechists and Volunteers who support our program.

Julie leads our sung worship at St. Agatha Parish. She directs our adult and children's choirs, and works with our cantors and instrumentalists to help us make music unto the Lord together. She assists engaged couples with music for weddings, and serves as organist for these and other parish celebrations. Julie has more than 20 years' experience as a pastoral musician, and considers it a special blessing to serve the Lord and his people in Milton.

Dale assists in maintaining the integrity of the financial & accounting records, processes and practices within the Church. She assists the Operations Manager, Bob, with property management and maintenance issues of the facilities, and acts as back-up in his absence. In addition, she assists the rectory staff with welcoming parishioners and handling their requests.
