Gail was born in Ossining, NY on November 11, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph and Jeanne (Lefebvre) Scrima. She was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1958. She embarked on a beautiful journey of love, uniting with Ray Fielder in holy matrimony on November 30, 1963, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison, MI. Her marriage to Ray was a cornerstone of her life, shaping her into the devoted wife, mother, and grandmother she became. After working at Chevrolet, Gail chose to dedicate her time to her most treasured role as a mother. She poured her heart into nurturing and raising her children with love, grace, and unwavering dedication. However, her ambition and thirst for knowledge led her back to the classroom, where she earned a nursing degree from Mott Community College. In the 1980's and 1990's, Gail's nurturing spirit found a new purpose as she embraced her role as a nurse on the oncology floor at McLaren - Flint. Her compassionate care touched the lives of countless patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments. Her legacy of kindness, empathy, and dedication will forever be imprinted on the hearts of those she served. Gail's dedication to her spiritual journey was evident through her active involvement in faith formation. She lovingly worked with children, guiding them in their sacrament preparation journey at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and later at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Her commitment to instilling the values of faith in the younger generation was a testament to her devout spirit. Beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits, Gail reveled in the beauty of the natural world, finding solace and joy in the embrace of nature. Her love for animals mirrored her compassion for people, and she found great delight in the companionship they provided. Above all else, Gail's heart swelled with love for her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and her bond with them was a testament to the depth of her love and the legacy she leaves behind. Gail is survived by her husband, Ray Fielder; 2 children, Mike (Sharon Allbee) Fielder and Courtney (Joe Bailey) Fielder; 5 grandchildren, Haley Fielder, Hannah Fielder, Sydney Fielder, Erik Bailey and Lindsey Bailey; 2 siblings, Glenn Scrima and Todd (Shirlene) Scrima; many other loving family members and dear friends.
