STAGEDOOR MANOR

Stagedoor Manor has its roots in a camp called Beginners Showcase, which launched in 1967. The camp was in disarray when one of the employees reached out to her friend Carl Samuelson (a builder in New Rochelle) and his wife Elsie. Carl came to visit, took a tour of the camp and had an epiphany: he wanted to open a theater camp. He'd never worked in theater before and his two daughters, Cindy and Debra, described it as "running away with the circus."... Stagedoor Manor offers total theater immersion, plus all the fun of a great summer camp. It's the only performing arts program of its type in the world, with students from every state…and six continents!... At Stagedoor Manor, performers of all levels - beginner and advanced - find expression and fulfillment on stage and in the classroom.
