EXCURSIONS FROM THE SQUARE was founded by Ellen Kay Coleman in 1992. That fall, there was a major retrospective exhibition of Henri Matisse at the Museum of Modern Art.Tickets were difficult to come by, but she managed to acquire about 150 spots to this glorious exhibit and escort three busloads of happy art lovers to New York to see the show. Since then, our small, likeminded groups have enjoyed the best of countless destinations including Paris, Santa Fe, the Berkshires, Chicago, Rome, Venice, New England, Los Angeles, Berlin, Texas, London, Washington, DC, every neighborhood in New York City and more!... Proudly in our 31 st year, EXCURSIONS FROM THE SQUARE will be offering cultural tours mainly in the United States but also in Canada and Europe. Our focus will continue to be on museums, architecture, history and the performing arts, adding a special dimension to our well planned itineraries for groups and individuals.
