STEPPING OUT

Stepping Out aims to provide individuals living with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) the opportunity to live a healthy, productive and rewarding life in their communities... Stepping Out has a unique program that blends physical exercise, food control and meaningful recreation. Our clients participate in daily walks/runs as well as 3-5 tailored workouts per week, and our menu ensures healthy food options are provided consistently throughout the day. This results in reduced food-related anxieties, a healthy lifestyle and increased self-esteem... Stepping Out staff receive regular training in the biology, needs and care for individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome as will as how to incorporate this into Person-Centered Supports and Planning. We strive to ensure that we meet the needs of the individual while treating the syndrome.
