The TMJ Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit patient advocacy organization founded by patients. Since 1986, we have communicated with tens of thousands of patients, as well as their family members, caregivers and friends, and advocated on their behalf to advance research, promote the development of safe and effective treatments, increase public awareness of this debilitating condition, provide support to patients and their loved one, and serve as a resource center for reliable, evidence-based information... The TMJ Association is the only global nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to advancing research that has been identified by patients as critical to addressing their needs... TMJ is a well-researched, well-understood condition, and health care providers receive adequate education and training.
