Bethany W. Carnes

Bethany W. Carnes, MD joined our Murfreesboro clinic in August 2015. Dr. Carnes obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from Centre College in Kentucky. She received her Medical School degree at the University of Louisville and completed her Pediatric Residency at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. Dr. Carnes has a special interest in preventative care. She is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Carnes was born in Toledo, Ohio, grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and is a local graduate of Brentwood High School. She, her Husband and their young daughter recently moved to the surrounding area and are enjoying getting settled into the community. Outside of the office, Dr. Carnes enjoys baking, knitting, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Chris Dodd

Dr. Chris Dodd joined the Thompson's Station clinic in April 2015. Dr. Dodd is a native of Williamson County and a graduate of Brentwood High School. He moved to Alabama after graduation to pursue his college education. Dr. Dodd received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Samford University. He completed his Ph.D. in Immunology, Medical School degree and Pediatric Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). After his residency completion in 2012, Dr. Dodd and his Family moved back home to Middle Tennessee where he began a Fellowship in Pediatric Oncology at Vanderbilt. Upon realizing his heart was in General Pediatrics instead of Oncology, he made the switch and has been practicing as a Board Certified Pediatrician since. Dr. Dodd, his Wife and three children live in South Franklin where they are enjoying home schooling their children. Dr. David Hudson

Dr. David Hudson received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he now serves as a member of the clinical faculty. Dr. Jennifer Holzen

Dr. Jennifer Holzen received her medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and completed her Pediatric Residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Holzen also serves as a member of the clinical faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical center. She has a special interest in childhood allergies and asthma. Dr. Holzen is an avid sports fan, and especially enjoys hiking and bicycling with her family. Dr. Jonathan Spanier

Dr. Jonathan Spanier grew up in New City, New York, earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University, and moved to Nashville in 1999 for medical school at Vanderbilt University. He completed his pediatric residency at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and liked Tennessee so much that he decided to stay. He has been a board certified pediatrician in Nashville and Brentwood, TN since 2006 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He joined Tennessee Pediatrics in July 2019 and is excited to be part of their team. He is looking forward to meeting you and caring for your family. Outside of work, Dr. Spanier enjoys running, cooking, movies, trivia, Duke basketball, and Titans football. Dr. Katherine C. Hoey

Dr. Katherine C. Hoey was born and raised in Northern California. She moved to Nashville after she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles to spend time dabbling behind the scenes in the music industry before attending medical school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. She completed her pediatric residency training at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. She is proud to call Middle Tennessee home, where she lives with her musician husband and baby boy. She has come to love the warm Tennessee summer nights and great Southern barbecue. In her spare time, she loves reading, sewing and Nashville's many parks and hiking trails, and looks forward to the many adventures that raising children in middle Tennessee will bring. Dr. Lauren McClain

Dr. Lauren McClain joined the Thompson's Station clinic in June 2018. Dr. McClain was born and raised in Arkansas where she completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Arkansas. She then moved to Nashville and completed her pediatric residency at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. She and her family fell in love with middle Tennessee and they decided to call it home. Dr. McClain is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Since completing residency, Dr. McClain most recently worked as a pediatric hospitalist for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. She is excited to join the Tennessee Pediatrics team and looks forward to nurturing long-term relationships with her patients and their families. Dr. Steve Claycomb

Tennessee Pediatrics is proud to welcome Dr. Steve Claycomb to their team of providers in Murfreesboro. Dr. Claycomb is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics(FAAP). He completed medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Health& Science Center Houston Hermann Hospital and MD Anderson. Prior to joining Tennessee Pediatrics, Dr. Claycomb was the owner and a provider for Middle Tennessee Pediatrics in Lebanon, Tennessee. He has also worked with Children's International Medical Group that was formed in response to Hurricane Katrina. The group originally served New Orleans, Louisiana, and the surrounding area and now has many offices in Louisiana and Mississippi. Dr. Claycomb has special interests in the treatment of allergies and asthma in children as well as attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Charlotte, and his family. He is involved in his local church and participates in many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, and hydroponic gardening. Dr. Tim Henschel

Dr. Tim Henschel is a Board-Certified Pediatrician with over 15 years of experience providing pediatric healthcare. He did his residency in pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, and is the founder of Mercy Children's Clinic in Franklin, Tennessee. Special interests include caring for children with asthma, sports, and adolescent medicine. He is married and has three children. Edward "Dunk" Eastham

Edward Eastham, MD, is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences, and completed his Pediatric Residency at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center in Memphis. Dr. Eastham is the former Chief of Pediatrics at West End Medical Center in Atlanta. Elisabeth Radish

Elisabeth Radish is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner that joined Tennessee Pediatrics in October 2021. Elisabeth graduated Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Child Development. She then worked with children and families in foster care before moving into the medical field. Elisabeth graduated from Vanderbilt University's School of Nursing with a Master's of Science degree in nursing in 2012, and has been practicing pediatric primary care in Nashville since then. Elizabeth McFarlin

Dr. McFarlin is a Middle Tennessee native, growing up in Murfreesboro and then attending Lipscomb University. Dr. Lea Ann Lund joined our Hendersonville location in 2008. Libby A. Long

Libby A. Long, M.D., is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Medicine, and completed her Pediatric Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Steve Johnson

Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at Lloyd Noland Hospital and the University of Alabama-Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Johnson has advanced training in Gastrointestinal disorders (including reflux, constipation, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.) and liver disorders (including jaundice). Dr. Johnson serves on the clinical staff at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital. Dr. Johnson has a "special interest" in caring for children with disabilities because of his own son who has Autism. Dr. Johnson has committed a portion of his practice to care for children with attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral problems, school problems, autism, etc. Dr Johnson has a wife, Deanna, of 20 yrs and three children (Hank, Olivia and Eva).
