At just 4 years old, I started to tag along to the Lamaze classes my mom taught. Although I had no idea what all the he-he-whooo breath work was for, I put my all into the demonstrations. When running errands around town with my dad, we would often run into patients, and I felt proud at those moments of the lifelong connections he had made. As a physician now myself, I consider it to be the highest honor to have patients choose to entrust me with some of the most significant moments of their lives, from prenatal care and deliveries to surgeries and annual exams.
